  Unlike the angel basher, I definitely can say that a lot of the psychic phenomenon is real. Energy never dies; it just changes form as noted by quantum physics. So that means all spirits go somewhere, and why wouldn't they end up here in spirit form in between bodies, or if they have such a traumatic ending, they can't let go until someone helps them? Or angels... we called them here to help us make choices towards the light. We also called the demons here to balance that out. You do have a guardian demon too, if you check. :)
  
  But anyway, if you listen for that still inner voice (and that wouldn't be the one that says kill the president, btw), it will confirm many things for you, like when something is right spiritually. Also, when something spiritually right is heard, a lot of times people get goose bumps or a cold chill. For me it is just a knowingness that has nothing to do with faith. It just feels right, like no religious patter ever did. Sure there were some truths in the patter, just enough to hook the gullible, (because we all are online thru our unconscious mind with the racial unconscious which is the source of our 'truths'). If you learn to go into the racial unconscious in a conscious and aware manner (which I did thru a shaman journey where I actually made it to the higher plane and was able to establish a permanent connection to it), there is a lot of information about earth, humans, non-humans, the history of the world, etc.
  
  Anyway, what I have found as I scanned the racial unconscious about indigos is that they are old spirits, yes, because they have lived many life times on their own planet, which is dying. Their spirits are being brought here because it is so easy to get sucked into a human body, so they can continue their existence. Unfortunately, they can't remember what they are doing here. They just feel out of place, which they are. They were more a predator species than humans are, and so feel a huge need for independence and space (people close means competion for food). They don't understand the rest of humanity's overwhelming need for connection and closeness, and it is one of their biggest challenges and our species salvation. For the first time in the history of the world, the balance is shifting from over-enmeshment towards independence into the middle.
  
  THAT is a prime condition for enlightenment. Over-enmeshment and under-connection are both hindrances, but with the indigos balancing out the primarily co-dependant population of especially the far east, the racial unconscious is actually more centered and the human race is able to get primed for successfully learning to tolerate that light/spirit body that is going to be available to us. It takes the ability to be both a self and stay connected to others to stay comfortably in that state but most people are good at one or the other. With the indigos here, there is a lot more information about how to be a self than was in there before, to balance out all the old information about how to be connected.
  
  The indigos though, aren't a shoe-in for enlightenment. They are not that advanced. Their lessons are just different, as they have to learn to tolerate connection. But indeed they are a very different kind of human. Quite capable of evil if mistreated or toxified as children, just as all the rest of us here can be. They just don't get guilt tripped or manipulated by stuff that the rest of us humans are suckers for because of our enmeshment issues.     My 2 cents on the indigo Children -- why they were born to Earth at this time-- is this:
    
    For the past few decades-- and getting worse each year, this World has been going through major upheavels and "earthquakes" in every aspect.-- Financial, moral, religious, political, economical, etc..... and it's going to escelate and get much worse. Now and in the future, there will be a need for people scattered throughout the World that are Old souls-- and can guide and work with the rest of us poor schmucks during these coming hard times. The Christian Bible refers to these hard times ahead as "The Great Tribulation". The Mayans even have the year 2012 marked on thier calendar and had insight on this time in History.
    
    These souls had probably agreed to accept the price to leave Heaven and be born on Earth during this crappy period in History. A time where I would not want to bring any children into this horrid World- but these souls chose to sacrifice thier comfort to be born again on Earth to work with others in the place revealed to them.
    
    I feel that God gave them this opportunity before they were born.
    
    So you see now -- scattered throughout the World-- special children and special adults that are wiser beyond their years-- have no patience for hypocrisy or brainwashing-- and being prepared to fulfill the Calling they were born for to help others during this messed up corrupt time we are in right now.

        I personally have known an assortment of indigos, several are nieces and nephews (although they do seem to more often be male from what I have noticed), and they aren't in anyway shape or form bullet proof, nor are they all that much wiser. Mostly they just don't seem to be vulernable to being manipulated by guilt, which is a great lesson for the rest of us. :) So in that respect, they are 'better', but most of them are so not good at being a part of a group. Hence my belief they are going to be working on issues relating to the other side of the equation.
        
        I did think for a while I was indigo, until I actually remembered my own spirit origins (not a true human of course) after working my way back thru about 3000 years worth of the human lives I have had here. And since a lot of my spirit values are very similar to the indigos, it even more reinforces my observation that they were more likely predatory, like my species was. My spirit origin was reptilian though, were as the Indigos seem more mammal-like, perhaps something like wolves but sentient and bipedal.
        
        And they are here because they really didn't have any choice. It was be here or go extinct from what I can see. And they really can't remember why they are here, just like the rest of us can't remember past lives very well either for the most part. Oh what a difference there would be in religious beliefs if we all could, eh?
        
        And probably it is painful for them here, yes, but not because they are wise old souls who chose to return to 'help' us, but because they are so new to being human. The suffering would be really bad if they got stuck reincarnating in the far east. I read an article about them a while back. It spoke of a new kind of of teenager that would not come out of their rooms. The Japanese called this behavior "Epic Sulks". That is exactly how I would see an indigo surviving in that overcrowded over-enmeshed kind of environment.
        
        So, while for some reason, people seem to want to make these people into some kind of wonderful being superior to all the rest of us, they really aren't. They are here, just like the rest of us, mucking along but maybe a bit more aware of spiritual issues just because they are so recently arrived from bodies that probably did remember past lives. :)

      The argument ensued in the spirit world that humans were not salvageable. I unfortunately disagreed.
      When I disagreed I had no idea I would be asked to try to repair the situation. I was terrified and did not actually volunteer for this. I tried numerous times to get out of the agreement and go back but was not allowed.
      
      So, I do what I did as a Watcher. I try to help where I can and try to bring enlightenment to humans. Don't be confused. My body is human but my soul is a watcher.
      
      At this point I am fed up and agree with the masters that the human race cannot be salvaged.
      I continue to do my job because that is who I am but I know now that the masters are correct.
      
      I do not have contact with other descended watchers so I don't know their opinion.
      There are many fakes who claim to be "Indigos" but they are just delusional. Everyone wants to be special but this job is miserable and no one would really want it if they knew the truth.

I do see watchers in the collective/racial unconscious, but from what I can see they are two entirely different species. The indigos were brought here by the tall skinny blue people and just dumped willy-nilly all over the planet, because their world died and the blues really wanted to mess up the Zionist takeover plan, and the indigo's lack of response to guilt-tripping make them pretty resistant to the Zionist's major control tool, religion. The watchers though, I actually see them from the only other universe we can get to (there are lots of them but they're not attached to this universe, only the universes that made them, and thus far, only one has been made from this one), and they were here working for the Zionists as spies, because humans are capable of being way secretive, and the Zionists needed that edge to try and keep ahead of us. Luckily for us though, the Zionists aren't very bright and still couldn't really control us even with the extra info. What I think you're seeing that is so bad here currently is the Zionist influence on humanity---it's them behind every negative lie and all the media propaganda, it's them ordering us via their transnational companies to destroy the planet, it's them behind all the crap going on in the USA right now (they want to enslave all of humanity [minus about 8.9 billion of us], and breaking the US is the next step in that). Without them around, humanity would be a pretty nice bunch of folks. But currently, we erroneously think that the Zionist way is the only way to succeed, so we've been behaving very badly, emulating the Zionists in a mistaken effort to be 'successful'. Probably our (humanity's) biggest vulnerability is that we tend to be a bit lazy, and haven't been keeping these rats out of high positions in world governments. We fell for their 'holocaust' ploy (they actually were supporting Hitler and what happened in the camps of Germany) and we got all sympathetic and started letting them into our government offices---prior to that, no country would. But now you see why---this lying thieving bunch are corrupting the government and planning their take-over crap, while stealing us blind thru the federal reserve, the IRS, the health care system, and any other way they can---that's why people are getting so poor---because the Zionists are stealing it all!! Sorry---off my soap box---anyway, I do see a number of watchers being killed when Atlantis went down, so their spirits got sucked into human bodies, just like any other alien that died down in the city at that time. But they are far more reserved than the indigo---who are not terribly social, but really blossom on the internet with it's buffer of distance. The watchers I see aren't as different, though. The indigo wave is the major reason the Zionists have been able to sell so many ADHD drugs--it's to control the resistant indigo children because most of the parents and teachers are very hard pressed to understand them, and unwilling to change the average way they treat kids to adapt for the indigo difference. Hopefully though, humanity will start to make full enlightenment, and the Zionists will be removed because they won't be able to fool us any more. The watchers, however, aren't as resistant--they also tend to keep their heads down and try to avoid too much attention.

    I am an Indigo adult I am 32 years old. I remember that from a very early age I felt very different to those around me - innately I believe that I am very different to the humans around me. I was sent here by god, god means different things to different people, to me it is the source of my being the place where I come from, the entity that sent me here.
    
    as I grew it became quite apparent that I had certain abilities, I could tell if a person was lying instinctively, I could read what people were thinking, I could tell if someone said they were happy when really they were very depressed - these are people I didn't know people I’d meet day to day.
    
    I am able to read palms - I hold a persons hand I see images of their past, present or future, I can also do the same with psycometry. I see sprits, I hear dead people, I see strange things all the time, I know information about the universe which I have never read... many people cross my path, I find that certain lost people of this world are drawn to me, they come to me with questions, life problems they can't solve, I do my best to help them, when they have what they want they always leave.
    
    I have always felt different right from my birth, I don't feel human I feel like I am an alien, I believe that I am here to change this world, I have always felt that way. I do this by helping and making others aware of what I know, many people find it difficult to grasp what I am saying, but once in a while someone comes along that is searching for the truth and we connect, I seem to reinforce in them what they are searching for, everything is forever moving forward.
    
    It has been quite a journey so far, a difficult one. Difficult as I am yet to meet one like me, so it can be lonely even though I know so many people and have great friends.

      My daughter was just told she was an indigo child and crystal. This reader told her that she will always be here for her to help her guide her in her life free of charge ( norm 150.00 ) because the spirits have told her to..she is 18 and in shock? Any thoughts?   It is never popular when I bring this up but the Indigo Children concept is a marketing trick mixed in with a lot of delusion. It is easy to understand and people always like to think that they have the worlds most special children but things like this only serve to build up the ego and the false sense of self.
  
  The whole story and source of the Indigo Children is painfully weak and that fact HAS to be more important to people. They are called Indigo do to what is supposed to be a dominate Indigo color in their auras giving them deep insights of the nature of reality while playing video games and listening to their iPods. Indigo sounds far cooler of a color then lets say the blue, red or green children of which are also colors in the rainbow. When this wasn't enough they came out with the crystal children as the 'even more special children' and again this is totally full of BS. If you do any research on it and have any level of discernment it will become clear that the only proof that exist of this is if you flat out want to believe it. There is more evidence that Santa Claus exists then that of the Indigo or Crystal Children.
  
  In the past there was the star children, walk-ins and countless others of the so called chosen ones that are here to save the day. Apparently, at the look of things now they failed and if today's kids are the savior generation we are beyond screwed. All this really does is distract kids from a real spiritual foundation, not that the common alternatives are much better, but this simply empowers the ego with a false sense of entitlement and a huge delusion of specialness of which only the ego could embrace.
  
  Awakening is about letting the ego go, more or less, and becoming fully aware of the eternal now in a very simplified concept. If you feel special in any way you are NOT enlightened but all to often kids are taught that whatever they feel is truth... is, and while this may seem fine on the surface, it has a deep price on the other side. These kids need to learn that all beings have this same potential and that if they feel gifted then they need to put that energy into becoming fully awakened and not just lost into ego and a false sense of entitlement.
  
  People may be born with more ability for art then others but others can learn to be very good if the desire is there through training. However, both through learning can become far better then if they are left to learn everything about art all over again and on their own. Many well intentioned people look for the so called Indigo/Crystal Children and want to teach them but lets face facts and stop hiding in political correctness that usually this more like the blind leading the blind. I don't have a solution to this but I firmly believe that a fantasy that only serves the ego that has become a new age mainstream concept causes much more harm then good.
  
  While there may be a shift of people with more capacity to be awakened the indigo fantasy has NOTHING to do with any of it. Once more there is NO evidence regarding Indigo/Crystal Children and this is marketing bonanza filled with suddenly detailed experts in a field that no one can challenge them.
  
  This is a huge bubble burst for many and usually people reject the concept and react harshly at these kinds of comments regarding Indigo/Crystal Children. This is usually because people have some part of their ego invested into the concept in that is has become a part of their sense of self. To those of you who might feel uncomfortable with this and don't like what you are reading please note that you do not need some fantasy to be a special and insightful person with greater awareness. Simply, you have to only be yourself but seek the truth and dare I suggest to seek the truth even if it is not what you want it to be. Perhaps you are more prone to awaken but if so it still takes serious and real effort and no you are not entitled to anything... no one is.
  
  Perhaps spirituality is like a skill in art or music in that some people have a natural edge or inclination and perhaps you are that type of person. I am that type of person, so I can relate, but that does not mean that what I 'feel' is true. The gut feelings that most of us govern our spiritual selves with may 'help' guide us but as long as we are filtering reality through our ego's even our 'gut' feelings will no doubt be distorted. It is not that we should ignore this but rather keep in mind that with the egoic mind we are looking at the world though colored glasses.
  
  The core issue is that it rewards the person for simply being instead of doing.

    I completely fit the descr*iption of an "Indigo Child". There hasn't been a day in my life that I didn't know I was very, very different. It wasn't until I was an adult I even realized there were others like me out there. Indigo child, crystal child, starseeds, walkins, all just words, all trying to describe a similar thing. Human words are never big enough to describe the true beauty and nature of God. Yes we are special but special is also just a word. All of these words are confusing and of the ego. The true goal of one like myself is to dissolve the ego if anything. I don't want to be "special" for any other reason than to give it all away. I don't want to be different or blessed for any reason but to help spread that love on planet earth. That's why I was born here. I remember choosing it. As a child I remembered my past lives and the space between, and choosing to be born as this person in this specific time for a very real reason.
    
    In the end it's "us" and "them" and a huge gray area of people in between. People are picking sides every day. We are here to express truth (thats why I am here anyway I can't honestly speak for others), love, joy and beauty and express it in a way that others can see it. Most of us know who the "they" are even if we can't name them. They are the powers that be that resonate greed and corruption. In a way, it is a spirit war but even those words sound over dramatic.
    
    Whatever you want to call someone like me, I'm real. And its recognizable to me. I don't see auras and don't care about any of that, but I can spot another like me a mile away, sometimes before even speaking to them. I've only met three so far in my life and the feeling of "home" they give me brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.
    
    I hope you read what I said and took it to heart, and understand that your skepticism about all of this is based on gut instinct and recognizing truth and in that you are right, because these are just words, "Indigo CHild" is not REAL truth, it doesn't do enough to describe what's going on here. Just know that a very real, spiritual awakening is taking place and it is too much to be captured in words. People like me are not better than anyone else, we are simply here to help, just as ANYONE can be. We all have the capacity to evolve into something better and together we can. It's not something that "will happen" it IS happening. I see it every day, its beautiful, just open your eyes and look for it.

    I get a little creeped out about labels as well and have resited them all of my 40 years. I KNOW that I am an indigo like I have never know anything in my life. I have looked on to a few of the forums in which people have discussed there "indigoness" and have found much of the discussion dribble from some that like the label, but really do not understand, I can not hold that against them. This is not somthing that you choose nor is it somthing that can be understood without it being the entireity of your experience.
    
    I am not a misfit that has just found a place to belong. I never choose to belong in systems and structures that did not resonate with me. I learned what I had to do to get by, I have the system by the tail. If you believe that it has always been trial and anguish, like some of the surveys may suggest it simply is not true. My position throughout my life is leave me alone and let me do as I am led. This is the difficult part about being an indigo. It is not the way that society has been conditioned. I have done my inner work prior to discovering that I was not the only human that was like me. I cried when I foud out that I was not alone in the world. It resonated to the very very core of my being and the simple fact alone has created much ease where before I had none. I have questioned evertything forever and have bitten my touge and said yes maam and yes sir, when I knew it was against the fundemental laws of the universe. I had come to the conclusion that this world was screwed and that its course was set and that there was nothing that could be done about it. This a pitiful place to live when that is your conclusion. I always have known how things worked and how they fit together, and have had a large dose of society trying to convience me that I did not. Well I do, and I know that I know. I know how all of the pieces fit together and I will not hold my tounge any more. I know now that MY Pourpose in life is not to tolerate the insanity and call it out in any circumstance regurdless of the supposied consequences.
    
    I know that the world is scared of the truth and the made up supposeded truth of society has stood unchecked for far to long. I have bitten my tounge for far too long. I have been patient, but know more we are reaching critial mass. the world is changing and the new world view is coming regurdless of what anyone thinks. IT JUST IS.
    
    A nice house in the burbs with a good lob and good friends is an illusion and an intoxicant just like a twelve pack of beer. You will awaken. Everyone will. But to hold on and just be kind to everone only insures that you will come along on the top of the bell curve. I do not fear it, I welcome it. It was such a pleasure to be born right now. This is a fact the I used to dread because of the condition and coruptness of the world. We have spent far too much energy on this illusion and I personally will give NO MORE power to it. Everyone else will come to this conclusion as well but it is really nice to know it now and it is very nice to know that WE ARE Changing the world. I am so very happy and grateful that I will see it when this critical mass of young indigos demand that these corrupt systems fall as they are archaic. I am very happy that my existance and beliefs are starting to be validated as I have held them alone for these 40 years. That is not the part that was easy, the easy part is now.
    
    I would suggest that you get your head out of Ekhart Tolle, it is not the answer. The ego is a filter that has to be dismantled, but it is not the end all beat all, it is just the beginning so that you may peer into what is real. There is soo much behind it all. None of this is in any book and has nothing to do with any intellectual knowledge.
    
    I an excited to see the the establishment crash onto itself. I will have a front row seat. I would suggest that anyone and everyone quit giving it your energy and that is the way that you can do somthing about it. I am so tired of the catch phrase of "just be" being thrown around and will not listen to it from anyone that touchs money, has a check book, a job, mortgage, electricity bill, etc. My Tai Chi Master is the closest person that I have ever seen that does "just be" and there are not a lots like him around. I think that that sad bubble that is gonna bust is when the "just beiers" find out that they cannot make the the real commitments to that lifestyle. I know some can maybe 0.1% of the population.
    
    I am an Indigo. I am happy that I am not alone. I would be as I am whether there was another like me in the world or not. It is how I am and how I have been.       I completely understand how you feel. I, for many years, having been telling people to let me be. I will do what is right. What I do today may not be the same tomorrow. What I like today may not be what I like tomorrow. Many people have a problem with this because it does not fit into their box of who I am or should be. People tell me how I feel, and when I say "no I don't" they tell me I am wrong. Funny how that is because I think I know me best.
      
      I just found out that I am an "indigo" this past weekend, although I have know I was different since I was a little kid.

        I too, highly resonate with the whole indigo kid phenomenon, same with being an old soul (I am 21). Ever since I was little, I always felt alienated and different from my peers. One good thing about the label indigo is that it gives a certain sense of importance to being different and recognizes that uniqueness. The only problem I see that comes with any of that kind of differential categorization is the ego and pride aspect that may arise.
        
        However, above all else I feel the most important lesson and message to spread is the amazing power of LOVE.

Why do we gloat about or flaunt our spirituality? I'm sure not all people who believe in "Indigo or Crystal Children" are quite like that, but somewhere in there it allows one to single out certain people as special. But we shouldn't place anyone up on a pedestal like that, especially children. Everyone is special and gifted in there own ways (some I know seemingly more so than others!) but I think we should teach our children to appreciate these things in each person, not to compare or label "the special ones"...I guess its all a matter of perception. But I really agree with what you've said on this matter.

      Indigo children, Crystal children, Rainbow children or whatever you want to call (please feel free to use the words such as ADHD or some other label in it's place if you are more comfortable with this)
      
      They transcend egos so dont worry about the harm of bigging kids up un necessarily. They are beyond the point where this matters, it's about being understood, they vibrate on a completely different frequency to normal children/adults and just need to connect with someone or something that understands them.

  Now; these Crystal Children are being born with an elevation already of consciousness and awareness. These children have been coming in since around 1987 and have already started coming in with a greater perception and understanding of Spirit Itself, being children of Spirit.
  
  The Crystal Children, who are now being born will be in alignment already with their higher awareness, their higher understanding of the truth of where they come from, or who they are, and what is. They already have in their being and nature, a higher consciousness.
  
  It will be the children who often are the teachers to many of the parents who are switching from old standards and paradigms of belief, to those higher ones that are ready to evolve on this plane of existence. As emissaries of Spirit, they will be well-suited for the raised consciousness and the new levels of awareness that has been the norm in current times.

    I often wonder from where the source for these dates and explanations come. The only thing that is new is that the western culture is now noticing what has been a way of life for tens of thousands of years for the indigenous people. And, western culture is having a very difficult time with it as it defies all they have been taught and believe. I can tell you that the children resist this "savior" responsibility. It makes them very uncomfortable.
    
    The good thing is that western culture is finally beginning to return to the truth.

  I am surprised that after surfing the net for several days looking for some acknowledgement of correlations between the advent and rise of artificial fertilization techniques such as artificial insemination -- and the increase in children with similar characteristics (often called Indigo, Crystal, and/or Rainbow Children) -- I could find none.
  
  It seems to me that this is one rather obvious and concrete observation that someone should have made somewhere amidst all the talk/controversy surrounding the rise of children across the globe with very similar characteristics. Its not like Eugenics Programs havent played a role in our cultural psyche -- from people like the Nazis to psychic special ops programs to scifi prophecies. Yet, still not finding anybody talking about such a possibility.
  
  Before anyone jumps to conclusions -- I think somebody in the Eugenics programs miscalculated -- always those pesky unintended consequences . . . and I am hoping that all their plans of using/controlling these children to usher in a new age of their own making -- are being dashed -- and instead, quite the opposite is happening w/these children. (Given my own innate stubborness, I am not surprised.)
  
  As for myself, I am overjoyed to have so many more people like myself in the world :) because, after all, it does take all kinds of people to sustain, maintain, and care for planet earth. I think the biggest gift these children bring into the arena is their ability to resist nonsensical peer pressure and misuse of authority!
  
  To me they are examples of what we all can be, if we give peace, freedom, and love (ourselves and each other) a chance.

How would anybody know this?  This is a marketing bonanza that now has over 60 books on Amazon.com regarding the subject but with only self-proclaimed experts on thing that no one can know and expecially with such detail.  The electro-magnetic shield that protects the earth from harmful solar radiation comes is generated from the solid iron core of our planet and has nothing to do with humans other then we need it to survive. Unfortunately, we are not winning on #4. None of this is scientifically confirmed at all.  While the sun does go in 11 year cycles in its intensity of solar flares it will take several more billions of years before anything changes that will matter.  If our planet didn't have the tilt it does we simply would not survive either.  It is what gives us the season changes and is a fundamental key to our existence.  If it didn't exist we would have a very hot region in the equator region and a ice age that would last forever in what is now moderate climates. There is zero evidence to support any of these claims have anything to do with global warming.  I think instead of blaming the sun it might be better to blam the actual human source. I'm very spiritual and very focused on finding the truth but this is a flat our distortion of anything resembling the truth. We are all beings of light and sound projecting a hologram.       Its very late at night for me and I'm quite tired. If I'm understanding what the auther was suggesting, original strands of DNA contained twelve (12) strands of .. complement DNA? Is that what youre suggesting?
      Several implications exist with this idea. A load, actually, but I'll focus on a few of the most obvious.
      First, the hinderance involved with a twelve stranded code of DNA would be an unlikely candidate. Near impossible really. It would require a completely new set of ribosomes, histone proteins, energy requirements, transport proteins, polymerases.. the list goes on. I cannot predict the dimensional formations of this twelve stranded dna molecule, but it would most likely be a tightly woven mesh of genetic code extremely inaccessible for transcription and/or replication.
      While this idea presented sounds nice, it has no foundation in reality. If a point wanted to be made about 'junk' dna coming to life in these indigo children, there junk dna would contain start/stop codons, inhibitors, a few motifs maybe a zinc finger or two... none of this is the case.
      Before I conclude this I would like to add holy hell I'm tired, but also this: dna is dna. if DNA was contained in an anti-parallel arrangement(as it is), information for your proposed indigo children would consume as many bases in the normal B form as your 12 stranded conformation.     This is absurd. There is not one bit of evidence, let alone proof, of any of these assertions. They're completely wacked. 12 strand DNA, and oh, it's not physical DNA, but some other kind? Oh, and this kind of DNA also has junk DNA? There is no such thing as "junk DNA" by the way --- because we're not using it or don't know what it's doing there does not remotely mean that it's junk. That concept is a product of American science's reductio ad absurdum way of viewing the world. Since I'd bet money you do not share this view of things, it's amusing that you would go ahead and borrow their junk DNA concept. As if nature makes mistakes and we all just carry around this useless DNA? No. Nature is not wasteful that way -- if something isn't used, it goes away.
    
    ...and now angels? Oh brother. No wonder the symptoms of "indigo" match the symptoms of borderline personality disorder, almost to a T: this is craziness.

  I couldn't think of anywhere else to put this that was more closely related to this topic so I chose a New Age thread.
  
  I've been looking into "the field", indigos, religions, theosophy, breatharianism, David Icke, Conspiracy theories and god knows what else for the past few months...
  
  What am I supposed to do if I begin to worry that I'm going insane? It's not that there is any evidence that I am but it is becoming a concern. I guess we are taught that the world is a certain way and it can be deeply unsettling to tug away the rug of your most basic understandings of reality in a short space of time.
  
  Has anyone else experienced this and know how to preserve peace of mind in this regard, WHILE continuing to research the things that are causing the discord? I love what I'm 'learning' about, if it has any credance; that we could live to be 900 by changing our beliefs and living of the quantum energy or whatever haha.

    The old adage of "Those that are insane don't know it" springs to mind.
    
    When we come across information that challenges our current, long-held, dogma-driven, brain-washed belief systems it can have an effect of one's mind being in discord.
    
    We try to assimilate everything and put the information into 'boxes' that fit our current views...this unconscious process helps us to filter all information.
    The type of topics you refer to are not so easily pigeon-holed and we don't know how to 'file' the information, leading to a sense of mental discord.
    
    It's natural.
    
    Most people who are faced with information that challenges current beliefs become initially rejecting, sometimes even anger will rise, others turn away from it and will not embrace it at all. We all react differently to opposing views.
    
    I like your thread title - "if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out" :-)
    The advantage of this happening is that all that is left is the 'mind' without the brain interfering with what it believes to be rational logic to assimilate information, which oftentimes is actually very irrational!
    I see the mind and brain as 2 separate things...other's don't.
    
    We can't know. We can only sense with the tools we have...to try to make sense of it all...without going mad! ;-)
    
    Just some of my thoughts on what you wrote...and to add that i think it's impossible to lose 'self'...which ultimately IMO is our sanity.
    
    Living to 900 would be cool! :-) I could finally do allll the things i've always wanted to do!
    
    The subject matters you've been researching are just as valid and just as untrue as all 'fields' of information.
    Discernment is the key.
    If something 'resonates' with you, is a good indication it is information YOU need for YOUR path in this life. There's no lies or truths to be pondered...go with what you feel you like to open to...allow it to stew within your mind.
    We are exponential growth in understanding reality and constantly adding to the mass consciousness of what that 'reality' is.
    
    Although the foundation of your understanding may feel shaken with new subjects, it shows just how much in your 'self' you are to have the courage of heart/mind etc to open to these concepts.

    I've done the conspiracy-theory, apocryphal book reading, assassination documentary, alternative-creation-theory circle.
    
    It's certainly shifted my worldview and realm of thought so far out of analytical westernisim, that I find it hard to figure out where to start with someone when I want a good chatter! :V
    
    Insanity in it's groundstate is a mind not connected to the sphere of conscious that the world calls 'the norm'. I've been out of 'the norm' often enough to consider insanity not an illness, but rather like a deafness...

    Hey, I have been in your exact same situation; your mind has convinced you your whole life that things are a certain way and not that is being dissolved so it is like a part of yourself is dying, it is definitely a good thing but is is also quite uncomfortable. Try to relax and keep yourself grounded during this time, eat healthy nourishing food, be out in nature, go for walks, don't let yourself get stressed out. You might want to learn some meditation although that can take you even further down the rabbit hole.
    
    Also, it is good to research all of this stuff but also know that at the core everything is much simpler than it seems. Conspiracy theories and what not are very good to know about but it is also important to keep in mind that the world is getting better day by day regardless of what big brother wants, although just like you, the world is probably going to go through a difficult transition period everything is going to be so much better in the world. People are waking up from their sleep all the time and then they are waking up other people and it is spreading like wild-fire. Conspiracy masterminds can only accomplish their goals on a population full of sleepers, they will fail. Also know that everything is always 'okay' and all suffering is only in the mind, when the suffering in the mind is ended, conspirators, armies, and kingdoms can't touch you.
