Everyone's skin and constitution may be different...
But here's a couple things to try that worked for me:
Wash your face 3 times a day.
Never touch your face unless washing or having just washed your hands.
Q: You change your undergarment daily..?
A: "Of course" you say indignantly...
Well... you must ALWAYS change your pillowcase as often. DAILY!
I don't care what you have to do to make yourself do these things and even buy more pillowcases, but you must not lay your face on a previously used pillow case, or-- miss any one of your 3 face washings (if you have oily skin) or-- rub or touch your face unless washing. Don't put you skin against any other(s) skin unless washing face shortly thereafter.
Go for a completely organic soap like Dr. Bronners in a mild version for your skin type (that will keep the pores clean). It has no lanolin or chemical fragrances etc. as w/ other soaps which tends to block up pores on some people.
Your skin is also your largest eliminatory organ and if you go back to the source in your gut of what is trying to be eliminated in the (G.I. tract) you can there restore the best types of bacteria and remove the others and the standard stuff that tends to set up a presence there, you will get clear skin sooner or later.
Iodine as the forum will solve allot when you restore your natural
Iodine levels which automatically clean the bloodstream every 22 minutes as it goes through the thyroid (which is supposed to have 1.5 grams of the natural antibacterial substance in place).
A good live culture of restorative acidophilus good bacteria that somebody can muscle test in choosing the right one at the store will help to get the gut repopulated w/ your good police-bacteria. Not all are as active as promised so test. [Price is no real indicator sadly].
The forum named Ask M.H. for Master Herbalist is one that I would recommend you getting on after you do some of the basics.

There is that stuff commercially available ('Proactive' or some such thing) the Simpson blond used with good results and if you need to restore in a hurry, that might also be an option to try...
TRY No fried or prepackaged foods with processed oils. No Candy Bars or chocolate. [sorry]
Try no fast foods at all.
