I haven't heard of garlic oil before but if it still maintains the allicin in garlic it is NOT recommended for leaky gut. It is fantastic for killing bacteria and candida but as long as it is only used for that purpose. Garlic severely irritates the gut and stomach. While a great
Antibiotic and blood cleanser, libido stimulant and benefit for the heart, unfortunately it causes pain where ever it meets an open wound. Try putting raw garlic on a cut and you will know it stings like a bee.
Probiotics will help but you might want to spend time kiling the bacteria first otherwise you will waste a lot of money on good quality probiotics being killed during the initial bacteria and
parasite cleansing.
I agree with some of what was said about
colonic cleansing and P&B shakes. It can cause pain and damage throughout the intestine if not enough water is drunk and enemas can damage the gut if done too aggressively, but if you take it slowly it is very beneficial and probably one of the best cleanses anybody can do for their colon.
As for
Iodine I hear a lot about emphasis in here. Lets not forget that one can easily get
Iodine poisioning if too much is ingested and it can lead to impairing your ability to taste. Personally I think Iodines main benefit in the body is removing bacteria and parasites, and yet by itself it isn't even enough. I recognise its importance in the diet but the best sources of
Iodine come from seaweed, which its difficult to find out where it hasn't been polluted by bromide and mercury. I doubt we ate much of it much in antiquity.
There are many ways to kill bacteria and
parasites of which Iodine is one. There are also many other nutrients and enzymes to be considered just as important and being pro-iodine isn't much different from being pro - selenium or pro- protein etc. We need many things in balance and variety but mostly in moderation.
