Medications as a rule either hide symptoms or stop bacterial processing. They do not heal. The body heals itself. The objective is to put it in a milieu in which it can. These are FACTS. Ask any doctor this question, if you put it to him directly he will agree.
It is logical that for the body to heal it needs proper nutrition and support through what nature had provided. Substances that artificially alter test results are a temporary measure that do not address the root cause, and hence cannot heal.

So, my current level is down from high (400+) to borderline (175). That was purely through diet (cut down the milk and cheese), before I started all of this.
As to Lipitor (10mg/day). I have been on that about 4 years. Other than my triglyeride levels, my cholesterol was the only other indicator out of range. Within 6 weeks I went from 247 to 163. There was a slight elevation in my liver indicators, but well within normal and has remained that way over the last 4 years. Nothing else, as recently as 6 months ago was a problem.
By stopping the lipitor, I expected a higher read. But the LDL was way higher than it had ever been. The above level of my iron count is an indicator of or precursor to liver damage. At the very least I am going back to the lipitor and giving my liver a rest for a while of any further flushes.
As to the other readings, they are outside of what my lab lists as outside of normal, though I have seen other listed ranges which barely makes them acceptable. I can categorically state they are not an effect of the lipitor.Google Advertisement

MoreThis is a reply to # 712,228if youre worried about cholesterol levels, you should get on an enzyme supplement like vitalzyme or neprinol....i personally think its the most profound supplement ive ever taken but others say it works on cholesterol but you need to research the Science behind enzymes and the specific ones involved to learn how they effect blood/cholesterol/triglycerides....which is amazing and you dont need to worry about lipitor doing minor liver damage....can someone back me up here??

I'll have to check out those enzyme supplements - never heard of them. I wasn't worried about the lipitor, I was worried by the fact that my blood chemistry has gone out of whack since I have been doing the Liver Flushes and intestinal cleanses, including some lower abdominal distress (left side) which has been building over the last few weeks. No where did I see anything about the types of things you are consuming, other than losing the milk and cheese. Personally I've found that the partially hydrogenated and hydrogenated fats make an incredible difference in my lipid panel. If you are eating anything that is packaged, beware! Here is the "shaggy dog story":
Several years ago I got hooked on microwave popcorn-I'm talking about an honest-to-goodness addiction here folks. I was eating one or two bags of the stuff a day...until my annual bloodwork came back. My DR was furious and sent me home with the warning to find out what I'm doing differently. My lipids have always been naturally low so it was indeed a shocker for both of us.
Went though the cupboards and fridge. We don't eat much packaged stuff so it was fairly simple to find the culprit. Stopped "cold turkey" and then went out and bought a "Stir Crazy" popper. We use coconut oil in the bottom and then put melted organic butter over the top. Eight weeks later I went back for a re-check...and the numbers were perfect.
What is more amazing to me is that my craving was eliminated and I didn't want popcorn everyday or even every week. The homemade popcorn was completely satisfying.

This is a reply to # 712,255The reduction of milk and cheese was a positive that lowered my triglycerides. The cholesterol was the only other number kept in check by the lipitor, which I have resumed. I eat the basics of fresh fish or canned tuna, skinless chicken, and meat that is lean, well rinsed and stewed and rinsed again. I eliminate as much excess fat as I can. I eat very little junk food (except chocolate chip cookies), but lots of fruit and vegetables, though I do have microwave popcorn a few times a week (never a problem). My usual breakfast is apples and oatmeal. I will emphasize that until I started these "processes", my blood chemistry was fine.
What's worse is a recent on and off intestinal? distress that won't go away. Sometimes I feel like I have been kicked in the side (left), or in the gut. Had an unrelated MRI about six months ago, which showed nothing unusual.

This is a reply to # 712,256There's plenty of research that indicates that Niacin (a B vitamin) can normalize your cholestrol level. Normalize because if it's too high, it will bring it down, or if it's too low, it will raise it.
Go to Google and do a search with key words "Niacin Cholestrol" and you will find plenty of results.

Oh, Niacin comes with a minor side effect, it's called a Niacin flush. Some people can't stand it, I personally like it. It's actually very healthy for you too.

Try the Bowel and Intestinal cleanse forum. I found out about Blessed Herbs on that forum and 24 hours after taking it, I got mucoid plaque! I've done 14 flushes, but some symptoms I just can't seem to kick, so I tried this and WOW! I even created a BLOG, wich I'm planning on writing in whenever there is a noticeable difference in my health. You can look in there to see how my entire 5 day cleanse goes. Good Luck!

This is a reply to # 712,258I did 2 months of Colonix and got a lot of that stuff out of me. Not so much the last 2 weeks. Still have a another month's supply, but taking a month break from all programs. I suppose the next question to everyone would be ... has anyone completed one program only to find another one had re-newed results?
