Hi,
I FINALLY did my very first Liver Flush last weekend after literally months of debate and analysis. I got out around 500 stones!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! It was awesome! To encourage others that might have fear about it, it is not bad at all (in my opinion). The concotions taste bad, but not unbearable. If you are prepared to have lots of diarehha (never been able to spell that word) you will find that part is not that bad either. And when I saw all those stones I knew it was all worth it! I didn't really feel ill and was able to do normal stuff around the house the whole time. It was not like when you have the flu and feel sick all over plus have diarehha.
The stones I got were all green and ranged in size from tiny to the size of large lima beans. I am definitely going to do more of these until I get out all the stones and that will hopefully help my Acne (cystic and regular) which I have had since I was 11 years old! Woo-Hoo! Go for it!

I was just wondering...what type of flush did you do? The Hulda Clark one? Did you drink apple juice before hand? Or take any other herbs?

I believe I did the Hulda one. My husband printed the instructions off this website (he has done 2 flushes). It involved drinking Epsom Salts mixed with water and olive oil mixed with grapefruit juice. I did not drink any apple juice although I remember reading something about using apple juice, I think to make the Epsom Salts taste better.

I haven't yet tried a Liver Flush but I'm going to very soon..as soon as my exams are over. I've also suffered from Acne since about the age of 11-12 and I'm now 24. I've been taking herbs that have been helping a lot with my skin, particularly burdock and chinese bitters, but I really need to start flushing to solve the problem for good i think.
I just have a couple more questions (I hope you don't mind!): Did you experience a breakout after doing the liver flush? This is what I'm most afraid of! My skin is finally looking a bit better from the herbs and I'm really enjoying it..so I'm a bit apprehensive about the flush.
Also, what is your husband flushing for? Just general good-health effects? How is he feeling after the flushes?

My husband has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome caused by Candida overgrowth. He has only flushed twice so hasn't noticed much difference in his condition, but he does say he feels great for a few days afterwards.
I have never tried herbs for acne! I'm curious to more about it. Do you take it in pill form? How did you find out about the herbs you take? I was using Proactiv but several months ago I changed to all natural products as well as pure foods. I tried Tea Tree Oil wash but it made the ance worse due to drying out the skin. The last few months I have been using Aubrey Organics facial wash and toner. It is really nice- I love it. But I know my ance is caused by problems within and will not be solved by cleansers which is why I finally decided to try flushing.
As to getting a break out, I was worried about that too, but as my skin has been bad for awhile I figured I had nothing to lose. I flushed about 6 days ago and have not seen any difference in my skin for better or worse. I suppose if it is going to get worse it might take several more days. For me it's worth it (if it really "cures" acne). So we'll see.

The herbs I've been using consistently are:
-chinese bitters (1/2 tsp. each morning)
-burdock root tea (at least once per day)
-cleansesmart (it comes in capsules-two capsules in the morning with herbs that cleanse the liver, kidneys, skin and two capsules in the evening with herbs that cleanse the bowel)
These things seem to be helping with reducing breakouts and though it may be too early to tell for certain, I think that I've noticed that my skin is less oily. I've been vegetarian for years although I am guilty of eating junk food at times which I'm sure does harm to my skin!
Have you been to the site www.sensiblehealth.com? That's where I get the chinese bitters from. The site is very insightful as to the function of the liver and congestion and health problems caused by that.
What type of cleanser do you use from Aubrey Organics? I'm just looking for a simple cleanser that won't be too drying. I've been using Dr. Hauschka Normalising Day Oil and it seems to help clear up breakouts faster (even though it is oil!) It's quite soothing to the skin. Quite expensive though.
You're right...I think the risk of the breakout is worth it with the Liver Flush if there is the possibility that Acne could be cured by it. I can't wait to start!

I've just started using burdock root in tincture form. I first started with P&B shakes and my face completely cleared up and the oil disappeared. However, after 2 weeks on the Psyllium & Bentonite the oil came back and so did the acne. So I realized my liver is congested, but I'm scared to flush until I've been taking the malic acid longer (to break up the gallstones) and tried the burdoc. Where can I get cleansesmart? you don't do an enema or get a colonic. This happened to me on my third flush. When toxins become trapped in the colon from a flush, they will get recirculated through the liver. I got terrible breakouts from my third flush. Don't underestimate what I'm telling you. Please.
I am pretty much stone free. Liverflushing changed my life. I had Acne since age 11, and had it until I was 39. Now, I get only get tiny whiteheads every once in a while, no big deal.
Acne can be a puzzle....liverflushing and getting a series of colonics totally cured my acne. Doesn't the Epsom Salts pretty much clean out the colon or do they do something a little different? Could I achieve the desired effect (colon cleansing) by taking one more dose of Epsom Salts ? I needed to do enemas even though I used epsoms. I still get colonics and do enemas sometimes, when needed. I got my biggest breakthrough with my 8th flush when I removed a stone the size of a whole walnut shell, two more almost that size, and hundreds of chickpea size stones.

I've been using the "Herbal Facial Cleanser" from Aubrey. They have a whole system of products for different skin types. I've been using the ones for oily skin. The first time I used it I noticed how nice and soothing it felt- this was right after frying my skin with tea tree oil. I really like it. I found it at a local gourmet grocery store but you can get it online too of course!
That Cleansesmart sounds interesting. Especially the Bowel Cleanse part. I didn't do one after the Liver Flush I did last weekend. But I have read many times on here the recommendations to do one. I'm planning to do another flush this weekend. I'll have to seriously look into the bowel cleanse.
