First and foremost you need to learn to breath again.
I've been a serious
Acne sufferer since I was 13 and i am now 28. What started to help me out was really opening up to the idea that maybe this might be here for the rest of my life and to try and find a way to be ok with it. That is not to say that this sort of release has totally worked for me(as old obsessions die hard) but I must say that it did indeed make a huge difference in my self asteem and my state of mind and continues to help me improve. i notice that the times when i start obsessing about my appearance is always when I breat out the most. Sometimes it feels like you are fighting an uphill battle of information and possibilities. It's hard to see beautiful people in the daily press and wish that your life could be more like theres. So what you first and foremost need to really do is evaluate your desire to continue a serious obsession about your skin problems.
Acne is not life or death...it just sucks.
I honestly beleive that trying to find a way to ignore the problem will help. Sounds silly but it really worked and I've got the scars to prove my years of troubles...and
Acne is still a problem for me too. However I started thinking about the health and well being of my skin and realized that focusing soo much negative energy on it was creating a reverse reaction. Instead I started to try and see myself as beautiful and belive whole heartedly that I "will" see my skin clear and I "will" be happy about it. I stopped worrying about the quick fix and started focusing on long term results. Basically in the end I gave it all up to the flow of the universe that things will happen for the reason that they do.
Then on top of that I started to really pay attention to my skin's natural balance and my skin care. I started using a gentle but effective natural cleanser twice a day. If i could I would spalsh a few handfulls of water on my skin after lunch to rinse off the accumulated oil from the day.(try nto to rub your face though..irritation is created) I recently stopped using all moisturizers on my skin(even the healing ones) and started to pay attention to my skin's own rythm. I instead use an aromatherapy toner to balance oily skin and then follow it up with a rosewater toner to add a little bit of moisture. I started this because I noticed that everytime I washed my face I felt like I needed to put on my "excellent" herbal moisturizer immediatly or else I would be itchy due to dry skin. This dry skin issue seemed to only add to the amount of oil that would bubble up on my skin as my body was tryig to compensate for what it felt was "no" oil. Hence more breakouts. In then end my intuition payed off and it worked!!! I doubt myself every now and again and try to do things the old way when i get a flare up but in the end I always return to the method I created and in the end it always works better.
My questions for you would be what kind of skin care you use and how you use it? My challenge would be for you to start releasing the energy you have tied up in your face. Allow that white head to stay that way on the weekend when you are alone or with freinds who care. If you must pop (as i still do too) put neosporin on it immediatly..it works amazing wonders!! I don't know if you wear make up at all but you really must stop immediatly. It's hard but believe me it helps. I had to do it at the tender age of 17 in the middle of my senior year in highschool. I was actually releived to not be so burdened with the worry that something might show through. Liberation was what I felt.
Please feel free to e-mail me and I would be happy to explain myself more.
