Reiki is about Energy, Zule. Not spirits. You're simply tapping into the Unversal energy that when flowing freely through you (dissolving blocks) is very Healing.

No need to worry about spirits!

I could answer all your questions and you'd have still more questions. The important concept you'd do well to concentrate as much of your awareness on is the simple fact that You. Are. Connected. To. Everything.

Meditate on it. Feel it. Live it.

When "stuff" comes up out of that pit of the unconscious mind embrace it or run away. The choice is yours and yours alone.

Being a student on Zen you'll know the answer to the koen "Who is the master who makes the grass green".

Trust your truest self. Trust Universe. I don't know if everything that happens to us is for a reason or not, but it does happen, and because it happens to all of us - individual reflections of the whole - it means you're never alone and you have the whole universe to support your journey.

Don't be afraid to surrender.

Energy is what you allow it to be. The energy is neutral. It is us who impose the dualistic view. You'll be fine if you think you'll be fine. If you allow fear to manifest then you will project things that will stimulate that fear. The universe/God gives us "lessons" until we no longer need them along our enlightenment.

Imagine going into a stream and being fearful of its current, the twists and turns, your sinking etc. These fears are unfounded and all projected outcomes in a possible future. The fears may be a result of fantasy, others telling their story, but without actual experience in the stream, it is all unfounded. To experience the stream one must experience the stream...it's that simple. You can fuel fears giving way to a kind of self fulfilling prophecy. You enter the stream in fear and fight it all the way, bashing along, barely keeping your head above water and thus project an experience over the natural essence/experience. Or, you can choose acceptance of the situation....that all is okay with any experience. Go with the flow. What happens then. You calmly are swept around the currents as you flow with them and not against them. Things get easier because you are going with the program...the plan....the perfect order of thing. You also get to experience things as to what they are in a state of just being...without all the mental chatter/noise/turmoil and conditioned responses. You get the true essence if you can truly let go. What has changed? just your outlook. The stream was never good or bad. That was a projection.

Now imagine the flowing stream to be flowing energy and you can see the parallel.

Here's a question. These thoughts of good and evil/pain and pleasure/etc, where do they come from? Have you ever wondered where they come from? Are they real threats? Were they learned threats and if so who or where did you learn them from? Did you consiously learn these patterns or perhaps they were a result of conditioning?

Just food for thought. Not an apple or a rotten peach...just food(sustinence).
