I did MT (Wolcott's version) for a couple of years. I spent a ton of money and have come to the conclusion that the theories are valid but the Healthexcel system is a money-making scam.
My experience is that long-distance consultation is for the birds and that there is too large a margin for error. I would never again do the testing myself and instead would look for a competent and experienced MT practitioner (or a Schenker practitioner) with whom to work personally. I feel most of the dramatic benefits I received in the beginning were due to the cleansing I did (coffee enemas, liver/g.bladder cleanses,
parasite cleanses and anti-candida cleanses). But you don't need to do MT in order to start cleansing. You can get all the help you need right here on Curezone. Get Harold Kristal's book to understand better what Metabolic Typing is all about as it is a much more user-friendly and practical book than Wolcott's. And Mercola's book for the recipes. Paul Chek's book Eat, Move and Be Healthy would also be good for the exercises in it.
Didn't know that Wolcott had been a real estate agent. Figures. I got really turned off of him when I found out he wound up with Kelley's wife.
What does that tell you about this guy's character? Yuk! Also, anyone else notice his glaringly absent acknowledgements of both Kristal and Schenker in his book?
He uses some of Schenker's testing protocols in his own work and doesn't even acknowledge the guy? He worked closely with Kristal over the phone and via e-mail for something like three years and apparently they parted ways when it came time to bring their joint version of MT to the world at large. Wolcott wanted to keep it 'proprietary' while Kristal (www.bloodph.com) wanted to train practitioners how to ascertain a person's Metabolic Type. Wolcott's secret software analysis program keeps both practitioners and clients forever dependant on him. Both Kristal and Schenker (www.nutri-spec.net) don't believe in bombarding the body with a ton of supplements but you wouldn't believe how many supplements were recommended on my program. Great thing for my advisor, though, considering the 40% kickback on everything I bought. My sense of Wolcott is GREED, CONTROL, GREED, CONTROL AND MORE GREED. My sense of Kristal from having read his book is that he is motivated by a labour of love - ie. getting the important message of metabolic typing out to the masses.
I am not familiar with Kelley's work and so can't comment on his theories vs. Wolcott's. Also this talk of Wolcott infiltrating Kelley's operation sounds a bit far-fetched to me. Metabolic Typing is a very valid nutritional
Science and I would definitely recommend it but buyer beware, that's all.
