After reading about 1/2 the messages on bowel cleansing here I decided I would give it a go.
*note* message is slightly graphic but after reading the posts here I dont think most of you will have a problem with it :)
So 3 days ago I started taking liquid bentonite/psyillium seed husks.
day 1: 2 shakes - 1 tea spoon seed husks (not powder) 1 tea spoon liquid bentonite.
(had 2-3 small bowel movements)
day 2: 2 shakes - 1.75 of the above
(had 2 very small bowel movements)
day 3: 3 shakes - 1.75 of the above
(one very small bm);
when I took the last shake; my stomach went crazy; ie made a ton of rumbling sounds (last time I remember my stomach making noises like this was when I ate too many dried apricots); but this time it made a ton more. Also I had a TON of gas. I mean a ton. Lasted about 2 hours.
day 4 (today):
(had a decent bowel movement (in morning); (took a little more strain then usual - also to note is the fact that the bowel movement was more chunky and not so smooth; the past few weeks my bowel movement has been smooth - like that of a soft serve icecream.
I havn't taken any of the Bp/psyllium mixture yet; I am concerned over the fact that I usually have about 1 good sized bowel movement a day. And I am wondering about the large rumblings and gas I had last nite.
-notes-
a. I drink tons of water normally and have increased it more as I consumed these drinks. I take the mixture in about 8
oz of water and then chase it with about 16
oz more of water.
b. I am not much of a tea drinker but I read posts about drinking hot water to help the bowels moving so I have been drinking 2 tea cups of hot water with a piece of ginger in it every morning.
any suggestions?
what do you think about the large rumblings and gas I had last nite? too much of the mixture? should I cut back? how do you feel about the amount I am taking since I started?
I probably plan to go to 3-4 drinks a day; thats about the best I can do in regards to what is required with spacing them out between meals and what have you.
