Ive been wanting to ask an experienced herbalist, it concerns poke root. Most of the
books Ive read on poke root, save Jethro Kloss' Back to Eden, they all say Poke root
is deadly, one book actually states that it is leathal except to people who live in the appalac
hian mountains, they claim these people chew it fresh to relieve arthritis, and she also went
on to say it wouldnt work to well with the rest of the human population because it would kill
us (makes it sound like appalachians are some kind of alien to the rest of us) but I have
had my reservations because of prior reading from Mr.Kloss. Although now I'm wondering
about doseages for individuals who are starting a substance, do they need to have a progr-
essive doseage so that their bodies can handle this new medicine? I read from one of Dr.Sc-
hulze's newsletters that you had to progress with lobelia and I was wondering if Poke root
was the same way? I'm particularly curious because a few months ago I had a sick chicken
out in the shed that kept getting sicker and sicker she just weighed almost nothing, so I was
told that she was suffering from cancer. I started her up on the basic principles of Dr.schulze
with what little herbs and knowlegde I had at the time. I started hand feeding her nuts ,L.S.A.
cut up fruits and vegies. I gave her water with lemon juice, cayenne and echinacea extract in
a baby bottle about 4days she actually started looking a bit better. She seemed to be walking better
and in better spirits,if thats possible :)). But one day I decided to 'up' everything, I gave her the fruits and
vegies and nuts which she actually started wanting to eat on her own, and I also gave her the bottle
with the juice of 1 1/2 oranges with about a quarter of a teaspoon of echinacea extract, and also gave her a hot and cold bath
but she seemed completly exhausted and the next day I found her dead. Well I obviously know I did
something severly wrong here, if anything she probably needed a chicken enema, not that I would know
how to do it, and I'm sure the neighbors would be wondering what the heck I was up to anyways. But I
have the distinct feeling I gave her too much of something. Its been on my conscience, I was really upset,
but had to tell myself it was a learning experience, she was so sick and going to die anyways, but because
of the experience I know I have certain questions that I need to know. And have been really curious because
of the conflicting information from so many articles. All I know is that the proof is in the pudding, and personally
all the changes that I have made so far according to Dr.Schulze's suggestions have been amazing. I'm not
seriously ill, but I have been. And I know what I went through, and I know what has happened to
me after the alternative medicine.So I'm completly addicted to learning as much as possible and reading
everything that people like you share with us ignorant folk. So thank you again Tom, for all your work.

This is a reply to # 41,930You're VERY WELCOME, Elaina!! I started out studying Herbal Therapy by reading Back To Eden, when it was an UNDERGROUND Classic over 40 years ago! Eventhough Kloss mentions it, in EVERY other Book or Manual I've read since then, the Herbalist SHUNNED it, probably being TOO influenced by the A.M.A.'s & the F.D.A.'s WARNINGS and NOT having used it themselves to find out whether or NOT, what they were saying was TRUE or NOT. Lobelia has also gotten a BAD RAP, because of the MISINFORMATION that has been SPREAD by the F.D.A. & A.M.A.!
Anyhow, I had NOT used Poke Root or Lobelia for that matter, until I had seen, heard and read Dr. Schulze 's Information. About 5 years ago, a Student in one of my Classes had a Dog, which had a HUGE Tumor BLOCKING it's Esophagus and the POOR Animal was DYING of Malnutrition, since it could get ANY Food down it's Throat! I asked her, if she knew what Polk Root was and she said that she had some in her back yard. I went over to her house and SURE ENOUGH, she had HUGE Stalks of Poke Root growing in a corner of her Back Yard in the City! We made a BIG Pot of Polk Root Decoction and then put a Towel into the Liquid and then wrapped the Towel soaked with the Poke Root Tea (Fomentation) around her Dog's Throat. In just 2 days the Tumor had SHRUNK DOWN from the size of a Walnut to the size of a Pea!!
If you look on my DR. Richard Schulze Links Web-Page (see below), you'll see under Breast Cancer (Tumor), the Specific Formula for making the "GARLIC POULTICE & Super Black Draw Garlic Poultice". This VERY POWERFUL and INTENSE Poultice contains Poke Root and various other Herbs.

From what I've know now, Poke Root, NOT Poke Greens, should NOT be taken internally, but it can be used EXTERNALLY.
I've worked with dozens of SERIOUSLY-ILL People and a few Dogs and Cats, but NOT ANY Chickens, so I'm NOT SURE, if this applies. comfrey root,taking the medicine internally? I saw Dr.John Christopher's anti plague formula
at herballegacy.com and he put comfrey root in the formula. This is another herb I've
been wondering about. On another site, it said not to put the root in.
I ve read some of the old books and those old books
did nothing but praise the herb, it seemed to be a very valued herb up until the early '80's
then I started reading the dangerous cancer causing substance, I was wondering what you

This is a reply to # 41,936You're VERY WELCOME, Elaina!! Once AGAIN, this is a Case, where the F.D.A. has been spreading MISINFORMATION about a WONDERFUL GOD-GIVEN HEALING Herb!!
Just as they did with Sassafras and a some other Herbs (i.e. - Lobelia, Poke Root, ...), the F.D.A., in their Laboratories, ISOLATED one Constituent (Alkaloid) and gave it to some Rats at a Dosage, that was 1000 or MORE times the NORMAL Dosage, and the Rats got CANCER! A Human would have to take MANY pounds of the Herb at ONCE to get that SAME Dosage, but even then there are other Constituents in the Herb, which PROTECT a Person from ANY ILL Effects of ANY of the other Constituents! Their Findings are NOT Scientific PROOF that Comfrey or Sassafras or ... is BAD for you or ANY of us!!
By the way, if you don't own this Book, I recommend that that you get it, "The School Of Natural Healing" by John R. Christopher, M.H., N.D.. I've been reading all kinds of information on it. Some people believe it to be extremly powerful
but others are still holding the notion that it binds with our proteins and the nutrient leave
with the urine. Then Ive heard other stories about it being so powerful that you have to have
Dr.Schulze's cleanse first and take an ounce of echinacea tincture a day to boost the immune
system enough to handle the die-off affect from the parasite and virus microbes. I'm still
pondering over all the different information, but I was wondering what you thought? Then there's
the different forms of olive leaf extract. I saw one site advertising the capsules of dried olive leaf,
I'm a bit sceptical about herbs in capsules, but that has always been me. Then theres the olive
leaf in vodka and apple cider vinegar which does sound alot more effective, but still there's the
idea it may not work at all if it binds with our proteins??? I started my first bottle of Echinacea
5 days ago, I just put it through the blender a couple of hours ago and I was wondering if the echinacea
always absorbed so much vodka? I filled the vodka about an 1/4 inch above the herbs when I first started the
tincture by, today the herbs were just a lump of damp prickly things in a messy glass jar. I bought
some more vodka today to top it up in the blender (the alcohol content was not as strong as 80
proof, btw. dont know if that would harm the tincture?) Anyway I was wondering if you could use
half organic apple cider vinegar and half vodka to make very good Echinacea tincture?
I was wondering if there were ways to cut back a bit on all the alcohol?. one wouldnt believe
how fast you get over your cold by putting a teaspoon of some dried sachet flower lookin
plants and alcohol in a glass of orange juice. and sluggin it down the pipers. lol. Ah and now while I'm on apple cider
vinegar, I just remembered a question I had about white wine vinegar. You know the old "four thieves" recipe
to spray all over the body, I was wondering if apple cider vinegar would have done approximately the same job?
What do you think? I hear you have to take a course in bridging chemistry to become a master herbalist
and since I never even took chemistry , I'm a bit dense when it comes to the difference in chemical compounds:((.

Oh well, I'll get there. But again thank you so much, ah I do have another question for you in your experience. Do you have a good diet routine for diabetes? I read the newsletter by Dr.Schulze that was being interviewed with Sam Biser on this site(while they had it here to be viewed) but I d really like some basic ground work before the person gets to the 'gangrene stage'.I've been trying to get some good information for alternative care on diabetes. I tell you I have seen so many people with diabetes control their disease the 'conventional'way, always watching their Sugar and fat content, and their eyes have this really funny look. They get very glassy and the whites in their eyes go red, almost an opaque look about it. Then I have seen some diabetics who eat quite a bit of fat in their diet, but they stick to homemade foods, for example they will have oatmeal with a Tablespoon of honey and cream, lunch will be homemade bread with mayonaise and eggs or fish, with salad and dinner is a typical southern type of dinner with all the trimming, Dessert often being the main focus, puddings, cakes, pies and cookies. I know the desserts are made well, with olive oils, raw sugars, organic flours but often containing chocolate and lots of dairy products....hmmm. Even though I believe the amount of fat intake should be controled, I'm a bit puzzeled about the kind o of guidelines to follow?.......Have any suggestion?...Thanks Tom- Hey whats wrong with my post!! I'm SORRY to tell you, but I don't have ANY Information on or know about a Diet for Diabetics. I do know that Tupelo Honey is HIGH in Levulose and LOW in Dextrose, and can eaten by MOST Diabetics, since Levulose is metabolized MUCH SLOWER in the Body than Dextrose, Glucose or Sucrose.
I do have Article (see below) entitled "Pancreas Panacea" by Dr. John R. Christopher, telling about Cedar Berries REJUVENATING the Isles of Langerhans in the Pancreas, so that they start producing Insulin on their own, thus REVERSING the Diabetes!! This is a reply to # 41,935Hello, this is the first time that I've ever read or posted on this site. Tom, I have watched the first 8 videos of Dr. Schultz's, and I have always been interested in herbs since I was a young teen. I use herbs quite often. I have a wonderful 17+ year Dog. I love her dearly. I have always given her people food, along with dry dog food, and have been making her her own food for about three years. She has developed a tumor of some sort on her left cheek. I have been giving her Hoxey Red Clover tincture, about 30 drops, three times a day. I have been doing this since the first of April. I started to see some improvement, and then I switched to another brand without alcohol in it for about a month. The tumor started to grow, so I switched back to a very reputable source again. I am not sure if I should mention the brand or not but, it definately is a better source. My question is, what more can I do for her. I would like to make the tumor disappear, and I know that her age is a great factor. The tumor is now affecting her ability to eat for it hurts for her to chew. I am also giving her cayenne pepper tincture (a couple drops with her daily vitamins, and also in the tincture), which I know stings, but after I give it to her, I know she feels better. It has become very hot lately, which I know she is bothered by, even though she is in AC most of the time. I just wish I knew what else I could do for her. It is most difficult to see my dear Dog so old, and to have this ailment. If you can tell me anything, I would greatly appreciate it. I would also like to give you my email, if you would send me any more info. And, why did the information that was on the site for Dr. Schultz have to be removed? I had just found it a month ago, after requesting some videos through interlibrary loan, and was ecstatic to find the information on the Net. Please, lead me to more of this wonderful information.

This is a reply to # 41,993Hi Patience! Dr. Schulze is a Vegan and when people are NOT WELL, he wants them to become a Vegan, until they get WELL. You didn't say EXACTLY what you're feeding your Dog, so I'm letting you know that Dr. Schulze doesn't believe that an Animal (Dog, Cat, ...), who is a Carnivore, become a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian and ESPECIALLY a Vegan!
NOW, as far as what you could do for the Tumor on your Dog's Cheek, I'll tell you about what happened with me about 5 years ago. A Student in one of my Classes had a Dog, who had a LARGE Tumor (size - walnut) BLOCKING it's Esophagus, so that her POOR Female Dog was DYING of Malnutrition, since she could NOT get ANY Food down her Throat! I asked her, if she by chance knew where ther was some Polk Root and she told that she had some growing in her back yard! When I went to her house, she showed me the HUGE Stalks of Poke Root growing in a corner of her Back Yard! We then made a BIG Pot of Polk Root Decoction and then put a Towel into the Liquid and then wrapped the Towel soaked with the Poke Root Tea (Fomentation) around her Dog's Throat. In just 2 days the Tumor had SHRUNK DOWN from the size of a Walnut to the size of a Pea!!
For NOW, you could make a Fomentation, using Gauze Pads soaked in the Hoxsey Formula, adding some Cayenne Tincture to it and then placed over the area of Tumor. If there are NO Results after 1 week, then either make a Fomentation of FRESH Poke Root that has been decocted or make Dr. Schulze 's SIMPLE Garlic Poultice and even BETTER yet, his "GARLIC POULTICE & Super Black Draw Garlic Poultice".
ABNORMAL GROWTHS & SKIN CANCER (SMALL AREA):
1. Make a SIMPLE Garlic Poultice by taping a sliced half of a Medium-to-Large ORGANIC Garlic Clove - WET side down) over a Boil, Mole, Wart, or even a TINY CANCER Spot.
2. Do it 2-3 times per Day, changing the Garlic Clove each time for a FRESH Piece.
3. Drink 1-3 cups Red Clover Blossom Tea daily.
4. Continue this Treatment, until the AFFECTED Area is COMPLETELY HEALED.
NOTE: ANY Abnormal Growths should BURN-OFF within a FEW Days.
GARLIC POULTICE & Super Black Draw Garlic Poultice:
1. Put the following Ingredients in a Blender: 2 - 4 Cloves of Organic Garlic, 1 HEAPING Handful - FRESH (or Dried) Red Clover Blossoms, 1/2 Cup - FRESH (or Dried) Chaparral Leaf, 1/4 cup - FRESH grated Poke Root (or 1/3 cup - Dried Poke Root Powder), 2 tbls. - Golden Seal Root Powder, 2 tbls. - Activated Charcoal Powder, 1 tsp. - Tea Tree Oil, 1 cup - Bentonite Clay, 1 cup - Slippery Elm Inner Bark Powder ("GLUE", that holds ALL of the other ingredients together).
2. Put ALL of these Ingredients into a Blender.
3. Add enough 50/50 Solution of Distilled Water and RAW Apple Cider Vinegar (preferably Bragg's) to make a Paste.
4. Add at least 1 oz. - Bloodroot Tincture (made with the Cayenne Pepper Tincture Method above) per 8 oz. of Liquid.
5. Blend WELL.
CANCER - EXTERNAL (Area Tumors &/or Skin Cancer - LARGE Area):
NOTE: This POWERFUL Garlic Poultice (see Steps 1 - 9 below) can be used for ANY External Cancer Growths or the Ones which you can feel through the Skin.
1. Apply the Garlic Poultice on the AFFECTED Area at Night.
2. Wash-off this Paste in the morning, during the HOT & COLD Showers.
3. DEEPLY Massage RAW Castor Oil into the AFFECTED Area.
4. Apply another Garlic Poultice at Noon for the rest of the day until Night-Time
5. Wash-off this Paste during the HOT & COLD Showers.
6. Reapply the Garlic Poultice again before going to bed.
7. Apply Aloe Vera Gel into the EMPTY Area, after the External Cancer Growth PEELS OFF within 1-3 weeks.
8. Drink 1-3 cups Red Clover Blossom Tea daily.
9. Continue this Treatment, until the AFFECTED Area is COMPLETELY HEALED.
NOTE: ANY External Cancer Growths should PEEL OFF within 1-3 weeks. This method can also be used for Internal Tumors. Please see the following HEALING Method for Internal Tumors also.

I have a patient with a tumor growing in his penis. can this poltice be used in this area for this type of cancerous lump? He has had a positive cancer blood test, but we know very little more...Thanks. gq

This is a reply to # 41,921Hi, I was wondering if you may have some advise on ear infections? My 9 year old son started complaining yesterday that his ear was hurting so I immediately went online and ordered doc schulze super food, super tonic and children ech. and will recieve it today. I have him eating a raw clove of garlic every two hours (he's such a good sport) and I had him lay on a dry heat heating pad with a sock with salt in it. His ear still hurts and his cheek is now swollen...I DO NOT want him on Antibiotics and need some advise as to something else I can do until the stuff arrives?? Someone said put peroxide in his ear...not sure about that...feedback anyone??

It was sort of by accident that I found your recent post. There are possibly other people who might have good advice for you but won't know to give it if they also don't see it by accident.

By the way, on the question of using peroxide in the ear, it may have been me that wrote that advice you refer to .... not sure, many people use this advice, so I don't know if it was me that wrote the one you refer to.
