One of the most common given supplements is melatonin.
I’ve found however it’s very hit or miss and the dose apparently must be custom.
In that too much can cause the opposite affect. (Dose varies from 200mg to 1g)
Over the last several months I’ve been happy with the discovery that the majority of sleep problems may be acidic overburden.
The acidic condition “wires” you to too high a sensitivity.
So far 5 people including myself have eliminated sleep problems with pH supplements.
(a cal/mag supplement should be construed as a pH buffer)
One of my 5 is an engineer who always dragged his butt into work.
I couldn’t believe the difference.
He went from blurry eyed barely able to reach for the coffee, to actually smiling when he came in.
And!
He was able to get up and come in earlier in the morning. (with a smile on his face)
From what little I’ve seen, the majority of old age sleeplessness could be due to an acidic condition.
Trust me, go for the pH alkalizers.

A caution:
Stress is meant to keep you wired to get done whatever needs to be done.
High stress is considered by the body as a life or death situation.
Why then, would you believe “anything” would allow you to sleep?
If major stress is the problem, learn to meditate....;-)
