Hello.
This will be my second attempt at a 21 day fast. My first faat was a short 7 day fast and this last fast I only lasted 11 days and did not properly fast or refeed. The entire fast I would run for an hour a day and lost a significant amount of weight but I don't feel I truly healed.
I broke the fast with processed tomatoe soup and juiced (16
oz with tons of mixed vegis) for a few days after. Not only did I not break it right I was also overeating. Long story short I've gained all the weight back and added on an additional 10 pounds.
When I started this fast last Sunday I was 234. I've lost 17
pounds as of today (day 8). I am more determined then ever to make it to day 21. I am much more focused and have been reading a lot on the forum about the importance of refeeding. (Any fool can fast but a wise person understands the importance of refeeding.) or something like that!
Anyway. The last 8 days have been normal in comparison to the last fast. My only concern is refeeding. I understand if I properly refeed for 21 days, exercise and adopt a new healthy lifestyle that includes healthy food, i should keep all but maybe 7
pounds off. I should also continue to lose weight during the refeed if following the proper routine.
Half cup every 2 hours (day 1) rest of the week 1 cup every 2 hours. Following week
Watermelon 4 days, salad rest of the week.
Week 3 salad while incorporating bits of protein (thinking boiled eggs?) are pinto beans safe to eat during this time of incorporating protein?
I'm really wanting to do maybe a serving of pintos during this week but I'm not sure how it will respond. Any thoughts? Thanks.
