"Christians twist scripture to come up with false beliefs. They refuse to use the help of the God-given experiences of millions of Christians to help them see the proper interpretation of scripture. They fight against truth; they fight against God. Someone else may be willing to debate this. I'm pretty sure someone will be willing to post scripture with false interpretation."
I remember that debate Rainy and it's ok with me for the old saying is one can take a horse etc.
Well they, I believe, live in fear so anything that is classed as "necessary" to take them to heaven they will indeed cling to it with all their might instead of believing their own
hearts mind.It's called "faith".
Do we truly have faith in God or do we listen to others that speak the "truth" as "they see it" which brings doubt upon oneself.
When I read "The Spiritual Man" by Watchman Nee
I see that his interpretation counteracted much of what I, at the time, believed.
The book made more sense to me than anything that I had read before.
It was not some "silver bullet" that people cling to, it was open and honest, but I knew people would not "see it" like me for as you have said, Christians twist scripture and for that very reason I have stopped shoving it down peoples throat, what's the point?
So when it comes to "speaking in tongues" people have "interpreted" it as a way to speak so to God in a special way, fantasy.
My question to them is why?
Do they not think that God does not understand their own language:)
Is it not written:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Is that not enough? Gawd Blimey!
