Would it be ok if I posted my current regimen and symptoms, to get a critique from the experts?
The main problem I'm trying to solve is muscle scarring, slow healing, and overall inflammation. My body has always been sore and stiff so I need to fix that.
I've made progress but I'm now starting with this
Iodine angle and it's really throwing me off!
Here's what I'm already doing:
1) Topical magnesium. (Very helpful!)
2) Daily potassium (coconut water)
3) Probiotics
4) B vitamins as needed
5) 1 a day kelp pill (trace minerals)
6) Vitamin C as needed
7) 95% gluten free diet
I eat pretty well, my weight is fine, and I exercise every day. I've done
Liver Cleanses in the past as well as wheatgrass and other greens-based detoxes.
I felt that I improved a little after starting the daily kelp, so I got some
Lugols and I'm doing about 1 drop every other day (2%).
The
Iodine is making me nuts! It gives me intense panic and paranoia. I added 400mcg selenomethionine and that has helped somewhat.
I really like the iodine, I can tell I am warmer now and my hormones feel more alive. I don't want to stop taking it. But I can't handle the persistent dread it comes with! I used to get the same fear when I did a lot of chelation detox, I equate it with a herxheimer reaction.
Is there anything else I can try?
My current strategy is to back off the
Lugols for a few days until the symptoms fade somewhat.
