Hey Rowan and all .. yup, still here! Day 18 ... I'm a little discouraged about the amount I have lost too, only 13.5
pounds so far ... I get that will end up being around 15 by the end ... I was hoping for 20 or 25 ... after that 20, I still have another 15 to go till I'm really happy with my body. But, after whatever weight I put back on, who knows ... I'd hate to gain any of it back! I am going to steadily lose between 1 - 2
pounds a week between working out and eating a
healthy Diet and then wipe out the final weight I have left in another 3 months or so with another cleanse. Then, I plan to do this cleanse once a year just to maintain all the other benefits I am getting.
Anyway, slept in pretty good this morning since I didn't really have anything planned.
I am soooo excited about this new cookbook I found at B&N yesterday ... It's by Marilu Henner ... She is the only person I have found that describes the way I want to eat from now on, precisely to a tee!
You see, I don't really want to go all vegan ... at least not for now ... but I never ate Red Meat before, just poultry and fish. Also, now I want to cut out all milk products and white flour and white
Sugar ...
Well, to try and find something that combines all that and still gives you some recipe options for chicken and fish ... seemed like the impossible task ... but this lady describes it to a tee and gives all the recipes with soy product replacements for butters, and other milk type ingredients ...
She does however recommend you buy "free range" chicken that is not shot up with hormones or live in the stressful conditions of cages.
So, I have been reading the book and it's perfect for me because it takes you from scratch to how to set up your kitchen properly, how to handle to garbage, other non-harmful cleaning products you should buy, etc... So, today, I am going to completely restructure my kitchen and I'm going to buy some new kitchen supplies ... oh, and she also tells you which pots and pans to avoid and which ones to buy, etc.
Anyway, other than that, just going to have a lazy weekend ... I am even going to have a regular work day (if you want to call what I do work) on Monday (Memorial Day) and then Tuesday, before we know it, will be the last day!
Have a great day!
