Princess I suffered most of the same things as you- especially the PCOS. One thing a lot of doctors WONT tell you and what took me a loooong time and a lot of money at an endocrine specialist to get out of them is that insulin can be a trigger for PCOS- it acts on your ovaries. Get tested for diabetes or insulin uptake resistance. Also, medicate yourself with food- its not going to fix you but it will give your body a good foundation for other things to work.
I used to be so healthy and now I am back at college I am all stressed and eating junk and I have got sick again because my body is run down. I am getting back into my previous way of living and it is paying off big time!!
Thinks that have helped for me:
Diet: Avoid gluten, dairy (but don't switch to soy- it is one of the most
Genetically-Modified crops on the planet-and also heavily sprayed. Almond milk is nice- or rice milk- although it is watery and takes getting used to.),
Sugar or any processed foods.
Load you diet up with loads of boiled water, lemon juice, pumpkin, broccoli, cabbage, sprouts, spinach (baby spinach for salads) tomoatoes, garlic but NOT onions, carrots and lots of nuts (not peanuts though) and seeds- white chia is GREAT- provides fibre, makes you feel really full. Base your diet on veggies more than bread, pasta cereals etc and limit meat if you can- most of it is loaded with hormones which you don't need any more of!. Also eat loads of unsweetened greek yogurt as your one dairy source if you can.
Basically- if you cant pick it, or pull it out of the ground DONT EAT IT. And try and buy organic! Wash stuff really well too.
PCOS requires you to manage your hormones and other aspects of your body diligently- its a pain in the ass but there is NO WAY AROUND IT.
Also take supplements: Vitamin E, Evening primrose oil and spinifex help with PCOS. With the insulin side of things I craved
Sugar like you wouldnt believe! Neosucrose helps eliminate those cravings.
Each day I drink apple cider vinegar now- this is key. Also ditch the coffees and normal teas and switch to green tea, peppermint and rooibos (redbussh tea. Redbush tastes GREAT and it is good for you too.)
Most importantly -DO A
parasite FLUSH! I am in the middle of one right now and I am halfway to feeling as good as I used to! With all the other problems your body is probably run down and a breeding ground for
parasites and candida-get a good probiotic into you daily and do a flush!
Last but not least-
Epsom Salt baths are great! Will help you sleep better at night, help during horrible PCOS times and will get magnesium into you which you need.
Also if you don't do it already- try yoga- has helped me SO much with the physical side - but also mental and spiritual restfulness- you don't have to go all new age- just enjoy it for what it is and you will see.
