Hi saywhatagain,
Interesting you mention candida in the spine. I'd love to hear more about what you know.
For 3 years i started having pain in my thoracic spine. The vertebrae T4, T5 area became very tender to even light touch...feeling bruised. I would experience 'fizzing' pain in that one spot - concentrated there, it would feel like a hot pain, fizzing and moving. Whether sitting or standing i would experience it. Sitting was worse.
Other symptoms at the time were profuse drenching night sweats, constant daytime nausea and dizziness, diahorrea, lack of appetite. (normally eat like a horse, lifetime of constipation)
I went to a Mctimony chiropactor who upon learning of the other symptoms suggested a scan and didn't treat me due to her fear of spinal fushion. I absolutely could not afford a scan at the time. She worked lightly on my hips only, (they tend to always go out) - left the spine.
The pain seemed a bit relieved, despite her working only on my hips...but did return in spurts a few weeks later.
I then had a severe adrenal collapse and have spent time since resting and trying to recover. The fizzing hot pain has stopped now, but the whole area is very stiff and locked-up.
Candida has been plaguing me my whole life -lonnnng time before the adrenal problems.
I know candida can aggravate the Central nervous system - with the thoracic area being synonymous with the SNS - and prolonged aggravation/stimulation of the SNS can bring on AF.
My boyfriend says my spine sticks out in that area still - do you think it's possible that candida is growing there?
