Are you born again?
John chapter 3 NKJV:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”...
Do you experience the Kingdom of God in your everyday life? Does your life remind you anything of the lives of the believers in the book of Acts and if not, would you like it to?
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
Flesh is flesh and Spirit is Spirit. The two really don't mix very well. Do you die daily to your flesh and live by the Spirit? Do you hate your flesh and want it to be burned away by Holy Fire from the Living God? Do you hate sin and want to stop living in intentional, unrepentant sin?... and do you repent immediately when the Lord reveals sin to you that you were unaware of?
8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Does this sound like you? Are you led by the Holy Spirit of the Living God, blown around as if by the wind?
I so deeply love the words of the Lord Jesus, the risen Lamb of God and how richly blessed we are when we live by them and when they become real and tangible to us in our very lives.

Again wrongly joining scriptures teaches the doctrines of men. Too many godly men have misunderstood and misapplied this to the Body of Christ. It may make for good preaching but poor for correct doctrine.
Get a Bible program and cross reference "born again" it is used only in concerning Israel.
In my KJV it is used 3 times and never by Paul concerning the church. This should be an eye opener for the body of Christ yet not a one sees it because they are blind by those who do not obey the word of God to rightly divide the word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15. We are not born again we are a "New Creature" not born again creature, a new creature, where there is no difference between Israel and Gentiles.
2Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.I have tried to help people understand that if you rightly divide you will have to compare spiritual things with spiritual just as the Holy Ghost does when he teaches us 1Cor 2:13. and as we do we will be able to divide properly. a good rule of thumb is if it agrees with Paul's writing under inspiration of God to the church, then it is a doctrine for the church. If it does not agree with Paul's writings under inspiration of God to the church, then it may have a spiritual lesson or application for us. (see below).
The context of John 3 is faith in Christ as the Messiah and King. There is no cross yet, no new creature via the substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross(gospel of grace)for the complete forgiveness of sin.
Their, that is Israel's, faith is based on believing the Kingdom Gospel Message that The kingdom is at hand and Jesus is the promise Messiah and their king. So doctrinally it is for Israel as they were born in the flesh as the chosen nation, and if they are not born again they will not inherit the Kingdom that has been promised them in the Old Testament. Their being born again is via faith on the message (Kingdom gospel)they received from John the baptist, Jesus Christ and the 12 Apostles (this s why Peter later uses the term in his letters he a minister to the circumcision), and the 70 disciples.
Now before leaving here is the spiritual application. A man who beleives on the gospel of Grace should show forth a new life in Christ, akin to being born again.
So the question should not be "are you born again"? But rather are you a NEW CREATURE in Christ? If not then don't delay. You may die this day and if you have believed on the wrong Gospel or not at all you will go to Hell.

Be taught by the Holy Spirit who is our Teacher if we are Born Again of Spirit. Beware, BE VERY AWARE of seminary taught, institutionalized dead religion. BE VERY AWARE of theologies of man which say that the gifts of the living Holy Spirit got eliminated and replaced by the Bible!!! BE VERY AWARE of somebody who says that the Lord's servants today do not cast out demons in Jesus name or lay hands on the sick and see them healed in Jesus name. Please open your hearts and your eyes to the reality that the Lord's mighty works are all around us. The Lord Jesus works signs and wonders through His surrendered servants who choose to live unto Him (as was true with His 12 and His 70). Read carefully the words of the Lord Jesus in the four gospels and ask yourself if His words, the words of our precious Lord, are not for us today. This is a spiritual battle right before your very eyes, the true vs. the false, holy vs. unholy. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. God bless everybody.

Remember that no where does it say the Body of Christ, the churches of God would have SIGNS and wonders.
people don't rightly divide the word of Truth and take things for another group for themselves.
here is what the word does say to the church about sign and wonders
2Thess 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.I do ot judge his salvation only God knows but I am sorry he cannot be born again under the current doctrine of Salvation by grace through Faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ.
Signs and wonders are no proof that a person if SAVED if that is what you are implying by born again.
Just learn to rightly divide the Holy Ghost does it why does he not use it with you?
And why does the Holy Ghost in you cause you to not obey 2 Timothy 2:15? It may not be the Holy Ghost if it causes disobedience to the WORD of GOD.

Would you ever consider getting on your face for hours and begging the Living God in travail for the truth? Anything less is pride. I really do see this as a heart relationship with the Lord Jesus more than anything else, a deep loving relationship with the risen Lamb of God that that no amount of theological pontification (for which there is a vast abundance of opposing theology) can ever fill. I love you though chette. I really do and i always will. May the Living God richly bless you.

the Study I do is from the Bible without any books of men. I do use a bible program for the concordance to locate words and verse in the Bible but no foot notes and commentaries.
I had to let go of all that I had learned of men and search the scriptures to see what they taught is of the word of truth just like the Bereans in the book of Acts did when they heard Paul teach. You see Paul used the word of God to teach as do I.
I also checked Ed's teaching to the word and I find him sorely lacking.

God never says in his word to the church you are to get on your face and beg God to reveal truth.
Again you fail.
The writings of Paul are not man made doctrines or theological pontifications. If you would label God's word as such then so be it.
You are to hear the word
Ro 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? What are they to hear why the Word of God, the Holy Bible.Ga 4:21 ¶ Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? even israel was told to hear the Law the word of God for them.

we are to study the word of God (which for some reason you do not) 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
So we are to hear the word of god the Holy Bible, we are to read the word of God the Holy Bible, and we are to Study the word of God the Holy Bible and and through this the Holy Ghost will teach us the truth.
Nothing not one thing shared above is a doctrineof men it is purely and simply the word of God the Holy Bible that the Holy Ghost teaches to those that have the Holy Ghost.
To teach that one must only "getting on your face for hours and begging the Living God in travail for the truth" is to teach somehting that the Holy Bible through the inspired words to the churches of God, the Body of Christ never received through Paul. In this case we urge those who come upon this teaaching of Ed, MTS will hear this word of God 2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. Anytime someone teaches anything that is not supported by Scripture, or confuses scriptures by not studying to rightly divide the word of truth, and to compare what they expereinced to the word of God. They are in disobedience to the word while blaming their disobedience on the Holy Spirit there fore we must try and correct them Tit 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. We do so by using the word of God for it alone is 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
This is not a debate this is the clear and simple teaching of the word of God, for the people of God who hear, read and study the word of God.
Ps 119:130 ¶ The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Let him who has ears hear what the Holy Ghost says unto the churches of God the Body of Christ through his word.
Having done all that I can to correct Ed and warn those who follow his words and not the word of God, I now shake the dust from my feet.

Are you so presumptuous that I do not nor have not heard the voice of God in my heart at any time whether in deep prayer, Study or simply walking down the street?
Are you so quick to lay charge to me as not being humble before the Lord?
Or that I have not humbled myself to hear his truth via the Holy Ghost?
Are you so presumptuous to judge that all I do is religious and not part of a very deep and personal relationship with God Through Christ?
Are you so confident in yourself or your spirit to say you love me when with YOUR WORDS you condemn and judge me as if you are in full knowledge of my heart?

Dear chette,
I really do not judge and condemn you personally and i really do love you. i am very carefully monitoring this since the Lord showed me i had allowed a tiny amount of this to sneak in (about a week ago) and begin to contaminate the wonderful love the Lord has given me for everybody. And i do mean sneak in. My genuine righteous and holy indignation against sin and flesh (my own and that of others) insidiously began to migrate into a slight contamination of my love for certain people with a little bit of judgement and condemnation. This was never intentional since i do not intentionally sin having genuinely given that up to the very best of my knowledge. To not start a war, i reiterate that i still sin, but it is either accidental or hidden. When the Lord points out my sin, i repent immediately and as completely as i know how... then i come to the Lord Jesus and he washes my feet. This is because i enjoy a very deep personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. A personal deep loving relationship with Him. He Loves me and our hearts connect... my Bible does not and can not possibly love me in the same way because it is not a person and it is not the Living God. Do you see the difference? The bible is finite and the Words of the Living God are infinite. Again John 21:
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
When we limit ourselves only to what the Bible says, which the bible itself says is limited, we are in no way allowing the Holy Spirit in his fullness and unlimitedness to lead us moment by moment throughout our Lives in surrender unto the Living God. For example, the bible never says "Ed, i am calling you into ministry. I want you to go and pray for homeless people in the streets. I want you to pray deliverance and blessings for them. And i want you to pray for lots and lots of other people too". What the bible can not do, the Living God can speak into my heart. Very very easy concept, but to a bible idoloter, it must be very difficult to grasp.
Repenting of revealed sin is actually quite a blessing and is indeed the Lord's model... and yes, you won't find the exact words "the Lord's model" in the bible, but nevertheless, repenting of sin and forgiving others IS the Lord's model.

Why are you not praying for us instead of physically trying to get everyone to change? Where is the power of the Holy Spirit in all of this? Should you not be waiting on Him to move?

Does it then follow that you believe the same of the Lord Jesus, Moses and Elijah, each of whom fasted 40 days as well? Were they also hallucinating from lack of food? Do you disbelieve that fasting unto the Lord brings breakthroughs in the Spirit, brings holy blessings from the Lord? Any thoughts on why the Living God would have led the Lord Jesus, Moses and Elijah to embark upon 40 day fasts if it was not somehow significant?

To answer his question I am not saying fasting is not significant. But being our family is our first ministry I can't buy the whole God is calling him to do all these things when his family is broken. This man needs to focus on his family ministry.
The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.
