I know u r planning on cancelling the thyroid surgery.
I just want to say that no one in their right mind, knowing anything about iodine, would EVER think of removing part of their thyroid!
The thyroid controls things thruought the entire body and without it, u will be forced to take what ever big, deadly pharma whishes to dole out to u.
Iodine can cure any thyroid issue but if the thyroid is gone, it can't bring it back.
don't froget the salt loadings daily.
Thanks,

Hey
I will keep you guys posted, it is nice to have some support.
I called the hospital today to try to get my surgery cancelled, but she didn't want to cancel it, she wanted me to go see a doctor before, so i made the right decision. That's retarded, I can't decide for myself. Anyway, I will go see the doctor and tell him that I still don't want the operation.
BTW. Are there any good articles i can bring to show the doctor when i go to the hospital, I thought about buying Brownsteins book, but I don't really want to spend that much money one something for a guy that's probably not gonna read it.

Hi Lazylion,
There are quite some articles online you can print out and bring to the doctor:

If you need more (videos and interviews) check out Grizz' Iodine references

( I had trouble opening it in IE, but firefox opens it with no problem. Google chrome should work fine too.)
Since your blood test showed normal thyroid hormone levels and FNA result is benign the only reason they wanted to remove half of your thyroid is because the size? And it's causing difficulty in swallowing and maybe a little throat pain? Tell them the improvements you get from iodine supplementation and tell them you want to moniter for three months or six - when they don't operate on a goiter/nodules the common practice is periodical checkups and no treatment - "watchful waiting"- (at least here in the US) - usually goiters/nodules won't shrink or improve by themselves so there will come a time when the size is too large so surgery becomes necessary (from the CW doctors' perspective). But with iodine supplementation many people see improvements in thyroid goiter/nodules. It's absurd that CW doctors don't suggest this natural remedy and only believe in operations. Tells you how misinformation can lead to terrible decisions even with good intentions. (Grizz will disagree about the "good intentions" haha, but that's another story. Let's assume your doctors have good intentions and try to convince them to work with you on watchful waiting).
Best,
Liz
