I am sorry to hear about all of the extreme challenges you have had to face at such a young age! Yes, my mother also had steroid-induced osteoporosis. When she came to live with me she had several compression fractures of the vertebrae due to such severe osteoporosis her bones could no longer hold the weight of her body. She was completely bed-ridden and not expected to live much longer. We put her on what Dr Christopher used to call the 'mucusless diet' - today, we would refer to this type of diet as 'vegan' - lots of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. We began to cleanse her body using the bowel formula, the kidney/bladder formula, the liver/gallbladder formula and the blood cleansing formula. We gave her lots of distilled water to drink and we soaked her twice a day in a comfrey or BF&C bath. Along with this, we had her on the BF&C formula (which, at that time, contained comfrey) orally and topically - increasing the strength with cayenne ointment. She regained her health and strength, which allowed her to live a fairly active life for the next 10 years. During the course of this treatment we weined her off of all of her medications.
Now, let's look at a few of the things you have stated in your post - you are still using a lot of medications. I'm sure it would be extremely dangerous for you to come off of these medications cold-turkey, so you will probably have to work in conjunction with a doctor to accomplish this, but, you need to understand that as long as you remain on these medications, your body will remain acidic and have a difficult time healing. You stated that you are using egg shells and broth from chicken bones - neither one of these treatments are something I would put into my body. All of the calcium and proteins you need to rebuild you can get from the plants. When you say, "My nasal polyps are back in full force, the asthma is out of control . . ." - these are all good indicators that what you are doing is not working.
I would like to suggest that you go to www.barefootherbalistmh.com and download Book I (it is free). If you will read this, it will help you understand how to cleanse your body and get it ready for healing. I would not suggest you immediately start out with a fast like this because you are on too many medications. These have all accumulated in your liver and other organs which are going to have to start out with a slower detox. A strong fast like this would, most likely, dump too many toxins too fast which would make you extremely ill. I would suggest you start by using a bowel formula and liver/gallbladder formula along with fresh wheatgrass juice and a vegan diet (with as much live food as you can possibly get) while you are weaning off of the medications. This will allow your body to detox at a slower rate. You might also want to purchase a book entitled "The Miracle of Fasting" by Paul Bragg. As you are weining off of your medications this book will help you understand the principle of fasting and how to incorporate it into your life. When you have weined off of your medications, you will then be ready to tackle a fast like you will read about in Book I.
You need to understand that it is possible to regain your health and completely rebuild the bone loss, but you are going to have to tackle it one step at a time in order to be successful. I'm not sure what part of the world you are living in, what your financial means are or how much access you have to fresh produce, so it is hard to lay out a complete course of action, but, hopefully, this will help aim you in the right direction. If you have the financial means, there are a lot of 'health retreats' out there where you can go for a week, a month, whatever you can afford, in order to learn how to cleanse the body, live on live foods and reclaim your life. Otherwise, you will have to start studying on your own, believe in yourself and your body's ability to heal and then claim responsibility for your life!
The suggested dose on the cleansing herbs is 2 capsules three times per day. When I have used this cleanse, I take 3 capsules twice a day - I think it's easier to deal with than having to fit three dosages into my day. The exception to this would be the lower bowel formula - with this one, you take as much as you need to get two to three comfortable bowel movements per day. In order to make sure your bones are getting what they need to rebuild, I would suggest 2 - 4 oz of fresh wheatgrass juice every day, along with two or three green drinks each day - either fresh or made from a good 'green' powder. I would then soak at least once per day (twice would be better) in a comfrey or BF&C bath. As you incorporate a cleansing program, fasting, green drinks, soaking and a good diet, your body will take advantage of the opportunity to cleanse and rebuild. In order to strengthen the bones, you might also want to start doing some light resistance training. They have found in many studies with the elderly (which you certainly are not - however, the principle is the same) that if they will do some light weight lifting - it does amazing things to help strengthen their bones and their muscle tone. When you are dealing with frail bones, it is important to keep the muscles strong enough to hold everything in place.
As far as the lungs are concerned - there are herbs and oils which are specific to helping cleanse the lungs, such as: lobelia, mullein, eucalyptus, lungwort, balm of gilead, black cohosh, blue cohost, etc. However, I think you will find that if you focus on cleansing and nourishing the whole body, along with hot, steamy showers to open the air ways and break up the mucus, mild exercise, making sure you have fresh air in your bedroom at night, and strengthening the bones - you will probably find that the body will take care of the problem on it's own. As you cleanse and nourish, the body will take everything in stages - when it is strong enough, it will begin to eliminate whatever is causing the problem - which means you will probably start coughing up (possibly vomiting up) large amounts of mucus and debris which will clean out the lungs and airways.
Yes, the videos have been changed to DVDs and are available through the Dr Mom's Health Club. You receive one class per month, along with hand-outs, newsletters, recipes, herbal identification, and organic gardening tips which are sent to your e-mail each week. I have recently taken over the website myself and am in the process of changing the entire site, so, if you try to go to it and it is down or not functioning correctly - be patient - check back and hopefully, my learning curve will not take too long in learning how to work with it.
Any time you are reversing a painful condition - you will follow that same path back to health. I would definately up the number of baths you are taking and then I would rub the BF&C oil into all of the painful joints and muscles, followed by the cayenne ointment. This will help to speed up the healing and help with pain relief. It is essential to your health to continue to excercise - no matter how mild it needs to be in the beginning. Richard Shultz used to tell people, "If you stay in bed, you're dead". I would also add that if you stay sedentary, you will continue to atrophy. If you are exhausted, you need to look at your nutrition. Is you body getting enough of the right fats, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins & proteins to sustain itself and rebuild. If not, you need to add in whatever supplimentation is needed to counteract the imbalance. If you don't, then the excercise can actually be detrimental, as your body will have to break down it's own muscle mass to get the proteins it needs.
Thank you for your well wishes for Kaylee. I still believe in miracles! In some ways I was relieved to find out that the doctors can do nothing because now I don't have to wrestle with myself over whether or not to put her through any more painful, life-threatening tests or procedures - it's just between her, me and the Gods.
