Wow! Now, to me, that sounds more like punishment than a carefully thought-out liver dialysis program. Personally, I think the, ‘OP’ would benefit more from the realization and division of separate and distinct preparation, treatment, and conclusion protocols.
4 tbsp of ORGANICALLY-GROWN coffee is a lot - A whole lot! 2
quarts of water is also excessive; and the addition of
Sea Salt to the enema solution isn’t really needed. True, having an electrolyte, or two, might be beneficial; but any such addition really isn’t necessary and might, indeed, be causing the, ‘OP’ to retain fluid and/or cause other chemical imbalances in his body. Baking soda! Where did that come from? It’s not part of a typical
coffee enema regimen.
CAVEAT: I am NOT a doctor; nor, am I a cancer patient; I have no large amounts of toxin that need to be excreted from my body; no parasites, and I have no chronic health problem(s) that I’m actively combating, OK! So a full-blown Gerson Therapy, or a
Hulda Clark purge the following suggestions are NOT! As suggestions only and, ‘food for thought’ here’s what I do for myself:
PREPARATION PROTOCOL: I have found that the best time of day to take a
coffee enema is in the morning; and it’s a good idea to move your bowels BEFORE starting a coffee enema.
Eat an apple, or some other source of fresh vegetable fiber like a banana or strawberries, while you’re getting ready and preparing both the coffee solution, and enema. Ideally - ideally - you want to have an empty colon, and some fresh fruit fiber in your stomach BEFORE lying down to take a coffee enema.
ENEMA PROTOCOL: There is no inflexible rule that says you have to load up on organic coffee. 1 to 2 tsp of organically grown coffee might, very well, be sufficient. A far gentler and, quite possibly, more effective
coffee enema program might also be found among the following (and admittedly personal) suggestions:
There’s a lot of talk about retention time. 12 to 15 minutes, and all the way up to 1 hour are frequent recommendations; however, there’s nothing inherently wrong with a 5 to 8 minute retention. In fact some people, with some health problems, might be better served by using a shorter fluid retention time.
Rather than just, ‘diving in’ with a head full of creatively imagined and largely inflexible rules, I think it more practical to proceed cautiously, use smaller quantities than are often recommended, and work into an enema routine more slowly. Then, see what specific amounts and time durations work best for each individual body, and particular health problem.
When it comes to
coffee enemas there are no, ‘magic formulas’ - no, ‘this one is better than that one protocol’ - in any of the popularly recommended procedures.
Since the beginning of the twentieth century, coffee (and other) enema treatments have always been regarded as being unconventional; and, consequently, the practice has been rather deliberately pushed outside the pale of modern corporate medical practice.
(None of which is meant to imply that coffee enema protocols are, ‘wrong’ per se; but that - without question - the practice is officially anathema to most of the large, excessively profit-driven, hospital and pharmaceutical corporations.)
It needs to be remembered that with coffee enema procedures there are few, ‘hard fast rules’. More than anything else it’s what works best for each individual; and, generally speaking, it’s always better to start out with smaller amounts while moving, incrementally, upwards towards the most frequent and most often recommended popular doses.
Doing two, back-to-back, 24 to 32
oz coffee enemas is, unquestionably, better than doing only one enema of any size; and, the treatment frequency used to produce observable improvement is also something that can (and, perhaps, should) be experimented with.
While the use of labor-intensive Gerson coffee enema + therapy for a genuinely critical ailment is a, ‘whole other ballgame’, I’m going to add that, regardless of whatever treatment quantities are used, and/or whatever daily diet is followed, I personally doubt taking back-to-back enemas less frequently than once a day for a minimum of (say) 3 to 4 months will produce any sort of salubrious and durable effect on anybody’s overall good health; but, again, that’s just my own personal opinion.
Baking soda is NOT an absolutely essential ingredient; and, in my personal opinion, might not even be as effective as whatever body position is assumed while the enema fluid is being ingested and held.
While I understand, ‘Why’ the baking soda and
Sea Salt are being used, I feel no imperative need to add either form of sodium (Na+) to one of my own coffee enemas; and (This is just my personal opinion - OK!) in this particular case I believe the, ‘OP’ might very well be throwing his own body’s electrolytic balance off.
Whether a participant lies: on his right side, or on his left side, or on his back CAN MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE in the physical result(s) he experiences. If the coffee solution is taken and retained on the right side of the body then the practitioner will be primarily irrigating the ascending colon. This is where the body absorbs its electrolytes from; and more of an effect upon electrolytic balance might be noticed.
In the alternative, while there will be a greater impact on electrolyte absorption and depletion on the right side of the body, there will also be less colon cleansing action. (Which for certain people might actually be a good thing!)
Lying on the left side of the body is referred to as a, ‘high
colonic cleanse’. (‘High’ meaning, ‘thorough’.) The cleansing action is more extensive throughout both the descending and transverse colon.
However, lying on the back can produce an improved general flow of the enema fluid throughout the entire colon, and it also facilitates a more even distribution of the coffee mixture; but, again, there might be a more noticeable effect on electrolytic balance - OK.
(Personally, I would suggest that someone who isn’t experienced with coffee enema results and reactions should NOT lie on his back. To my own mind, when a person is just starting out with a coffee enema regimen, lying on either one side of the body, or the other seems to be a very good idea; and each participant should sellect whichever side works best for him; however, if it were me, …… I’d begin by lying on THE LEFT SIDE of my body.)
CONCLUSION PROTOCOL: Because it would be SELF-DEFEATING, Do NOT return to your regular diet. Avoid eating, ‘heavy’ fat-rich foods; and, instead, eat a lot of fresh vegetables; (The biblical Prophet Daniel’s so-called, ‘pulse’ diet.) and make sure to drink a sufficient - but not excessive - amount of water.
What do I do? In addition to drinking a mixture of 16 to 24
oz of fresh carrot and apple juice, everyday, I also add A LITTLE FRESH
Celery juice into the mixture. (Never eat brown or discolored celery, OK.) For the rest of my daily fluid intake I'll drink an additional 32 to 64 fluid
oz of carbon-filtered water.
(Now, at this point, some readers are going to ask whether or not this is enough water to support general health in an adult male? I don’t know? It might, or might not be; but, usually, I do quite well with it. In addition to monitoring my own thirst, I also watch both the color and frequency of urination in order to tell; and, generally speaking, the darker the urine color is then the larger the amount of daily water intake should be; just be careful NOT to overdo it!)
For whatever it’s worth: I avoid eating commercial restaurant and/or all other heavily processed: cold cuts, meats, and other, ‘fast foods’; and, I NEVER drink any sort of highly deleterious, ‘soda pop’ or any other carbonated beverage.
(If I had this personal taste - this acquired habit that I’ve observed in so very many people - I honestly think that I would have died, at least, 10 years ago; and, no, I’m NOT just, ‘whistling Dixie’!)
I, also, drink VERY LITTLE (heavily pesticide-infected) commercial coffee or tea; and I always look for the words, ‘organically grown’ or, ‘Non-GMO’ on the labels of everything that I eat. To my mind the dirtiest words in the English language are, ‘white’ or, ‘enriched’ or the equally harmful but even more subtle, ‘added’.
(By the way advertising expressions like, ‘whole grain’ and, ‘whole wheat’ are completely meaningless nutritional catchphrases.)
The final thing I’ll draw attention to is that, whenever I eat away from home, I avoid eating all forms of pork; and, if I’m unsure about how well the fresh vegetables have been washed, I’ll avoid eating them too. (All of which should reveal that I NEVER eat from anybody’s open buffet table - A monitored buffet table? Yes, but never from any sort of exposed buffet that’s open to the general public.)
If for no other reason: Just the amount of food
preservatives people ingest from commercially prepared and/or supplied foods is more than enough reason for mature adults to involve themselves with routinely self-administered, ‘high colonics’.
(Organically grown: coffee, tea, cold-pressed vinegar, and purified
water enemas among them.)
