For the past eleven years Salina has been suffering from severe bulimia. She also struggles with a shopping addiction and recently began battling a new urge, self-mutilation. Her family is desperate to help her break this cycle and is hoping she will take this lifeline.

and maybe people can be a little more diligent before blindly cheering people on.
I usually ask for current height and weight, if I get a "don't ask" I have to admit this has completely put me off giving any advice or encouragement at all. Remember thought that some people with EDs can be overweight and still malnourished. It's not easy.

Well I did not get any info from the couple of people I emailed, but I think this lady on Youtube knows her stuff. In the first video she gives what she says is the 10 most common misconceptions about eating disorders.
If you are brave enough to look at the 2nd video you will see why I think she has a good idea what she is talking about, because she talks a little about her own experiences with eating disorders.
