I have not been able to work for a year with endocrine/hormone problems as well. I have been exposed to pesticides at work for about 12 years and unfortunatley this is a side effect of this toxic chemical as well as others. I also have been suffering from Epstein-Barr, Fibromyalgia as well as a host of other problems since I inhaled these pesticides.
There is a test that is very easy to do at home for your adrenal function and you can find some great information in the book "Adrenal Fatigue". What you do is go into the bathroom mirror with a flashlight, turn off the lights and shine the light into your eye directly. Take notice of the pupil which should get smaller because of the light. Then count the seconds of how long it takes the pupil to lose the smaller shape. The faster it loses the smaller appearance the worse the fatigue is.
I am still in the process of getting all the "components" right but have found that if you are using a compound pharmacy that a Naturopath doctor will prescribe the right NON-SYNTHETIC hormones and BIO-IDENTICAL instead I have found that it makes quite a difference than synthetic. I also use adrenal dessicated (Standard Process) or drenamin (for a long term basis) and that helps. It is also to take the right minerals to facilitate these processes, i.e. magnesium. Also a powder called "Perm-A-Vite" to help heal the intestines. A strict diet of no gluten, caffeine, alcohol or any labels that have chemicals or pesticides in or on them. Yeah, I know it sucks but it will take your intestines a long time to heal to absorb whatever your doctor will prescribe. It has taken me at least a year. I also use Kolorex for my candida problem and you can find some great info on yeast in a book called "The Yeast Connection".
I am not a doctor of course and can only tell you what has worked for me. Believe me I still struggle immensely but with massage therapy (specifically lymphatic drainage) as well as colon-hydrotherapy has worked wonders! I can't tell you how colon-hydrotherapy has helped!
If anyone has any other things that they have tried for hypo-adrenal/thyroid/pituitary please let me know. Thanks to this forum!
I am still working on the pain and am currently trying Arnica but if I could afford to go more the massage and colon hydrotherapy worked so great for the aches and pains.
Take care everyone.
