I have been alternating between 1000 calorie days and about 1250. I eat mostly cream cheese. Also some egg yolks, mayo & some avocado. I'm usually around 85% fat... For me its pretty easy after the first couple of days when I feel totally craptacular probably due to the release of lots of toxins in my blood - and this skin thing - GROSS! As long as I remember to drink my water. What I like about it the most is that I don't feel hungry. Granted, its not really that thrilling on the food choices but I'm very motivated. This time I have lost about .5 lbs per day, but I'm losing ALOT of inches and since I'm doing this for thirty days this time (please no lectures I'm taking supplements and drinking water) .5 is OKAY. There may come days when I lose more. I find I do best NOT eating the macadamia nuts macadamia nuts make me not lose weight don't ask me why. Also, they are really good so its harder to not eat too many of them.
How's that for a ramble?
Maybe I'll try one day this weekend with just cream? 94% fat is really good! Think I'll do that this weekend its a good idea. Do you whip the cream? Drink it in diet soda? just plain (gag) In coffee or how do you take it?
Thanks.
So here's how its been going. I've been sort of alternating between days of 1000 calories ninety percent fat. Those days I lose about one pound per day and days when I eat closer to 1300 probably eighty percent fat. On those days I lose nothing. If I eat nuts I lose nothing If I eat less than ninety percent fat or more than 1000 calories I lose nothing. So, I am going to try to do the next seven days all 1000 calories or less and ninety percent fat or more. I don't get hungry per se but I have strong urges to eat. I mean nursing a block of cream cheese all day just isn't as satisfying as REAL FOOD. Its probably emotional eating/food addiction that I'm battling so hopefully I can do this seven days strictly. I should lose 5-7 LBS and yes weight loss is the ultimate goal of this whole experiment.
I have been taking your basic multi vitamin plus C A D and B.
Also on days that I have exercised I have lost 1.5 but exercise isn't an option everyday unfortunately.
I'll keep you posted if I can.
Thats mainly why I'm doing this besides weight loss. How would I know I didn't lose weight when I ate the nuts if I hadn't tried it? Also, I HAVE lost weight. At least six pounds since I started I'll have to double check the exact stats. I'm actually doing this for a total of thirty days at least until December 10. I want to do just cream cheese and heavy cream for seven days then after that add back the egg yolk avocado and mayo. Then after that maybe add back in the bacon and ground beef although for at least the first few days adding meat I'm sure I'll stall. And yes, after December tenth its going to be pure induction Atkins although I'll be honest with you I could really go for a fruit and veggie couple of weeks. I haven't craved vegetables so much in my LIFE!
I just checked Fitday and it has been 6 LBS total, average 3 per week. But that is because there are days of losing nothing and I have identified the culprits on those days so I think its worth it. Based on my theorizing I should lose 5-6 LBS during the next seven days and if THAT works out then I feel justified in the whole experiment so far. I couldn't find anything online about someone doing this and I figured it was best to find out for myself what works for me and what doesn't. Good luck to you. Itll be the boredom, not the hunger that kills you! Watch out for macadamia nuts...
