Some Background and Day 1
With bright optimism...

I first read about the Master Cleanse a few years ago when I was doing research in preparation for my first juice fast. I had pretty much forgotten about it until I started visiting CureZone in the recent months. I had such a great outcome with the juice fast - felt "clean" inside, heightened mental awareness/spirituality, along with a general feeling of being in control of my life.
My dietary lifestyle is not the best: always coffee in the morning (though I have cut back to just one cup on most days) and almost always a drink in the evening (with a few more on weekends). I probably do not eat often enough throughout the day, with dinner being my biggest meal. My weight was pretty steady for about 2 1/2 years, and lately 5 lbs has just "appeared" on my body. I know this is a result of my not-so-healthy diet. I basically want to put the brakes on this trend. I've started exercising more and eating out less.
My goal in doing the Master Cleanse is to jump start a healthier lifestyle - to clean house - getting rid of what does not benefit my body, and also to bring an awareness to what is good for my body. I did a month long colon cleanse on the Colonix program a few months ago, though I don't think the program was the best for me. I was bloated the entire month from the fiber supplement and felt uncomfortable in my own body. So colon cleansing is also part of my goal in doing the MC.
Afterwards, I will look to doing the first of many liver flushes.
Day 1
I started off my morning with the SWF. It was not during or anywhere near sunrise, however! That will change tomorrow when I'm back at work though. Thinking of it as a broth helped to get it down. The taste didn't really bother me, but it felt like my body wanted to reject it. I cut up one of my lemons and gave it a lick in between sips, which helped with the slightly nauseous feeling. In less than an hour, I was in the bathroom, though I don't think it was due to the SWF. I think it was the senna tea working from the night before (I had some leftover from the Colonix program). In fact, it was about an hour and 45 minutes after I finished the salt water that it all came out. That could be inconvenient before work in the mornings. Hopefully the amount of time it takes to go through me will lessen. My boyfriend is going to try and do the program with me (even though he partially thinks I'm crazy, but he thought that before anyway!). So he did the SWF this morning as well (after he had his regular morning BM, he's like clockwork). It was only about half an hour before the salt water went through him. I guess his body just processes things faster than mine! Lucky devil.
I felt full from the 32 oz. of salt water for quite awhile. It was a few hours after rising that I made my first cup of lemonade. After the salt water, it was delicious! I like the bit of spiciness that the cayenne gives it, and I've always loved lemon juice anyway. I've just finished my second cup while I'm typing this. Considering I got a late start today, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get all 6 down, and keep up with the 60 oz. of water I need to drink as well. It's almost 4pm now and I have not felt hungry at all. But then again, the last few days, I've only eaten dinner anyway. My body just hasn't been getting hungry early. Hopefully this will continue and I won't be eating my words later (if so, it'll be the only thing I'll be eating!).
This first day is easy so far, though I might not be feeling that way later on tonight! I plan to use the time to reflect on myself, and on what is important to me. I'm looking to spend some more time out in nature, either walking or just sitting in the sun and reading. All in all, I am very much looking forward to what the MC holds in store for me, and am also excited to be taking a positive step in my life.
