Day 3...this is getting tougher.
Cravings even without hunger, and jealousy of people eating is starting to get to me.
Date: 4/27/2007 6:22:57 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1899 times Today is getting successively worse. I don't feel particularly hungry (I hardly have at all this whole cleanse, except, ironically enough, when I want to sleep), but I am getting bored, which is making me feel depressed.
I have been avoiding most of my friends this week so that I could steer clear of behaviors and activities that generally cause me to eat. I really missed having lunch with J like I normally end up doing on Fridays. I thought of the food there, which is delicious, and I still don't feel hungry, but I feel as though it will make me happy. I am the epitome of an emotional eater. I guess that's all the more reason to press on.
When I talked to J he was going to get dinner. He mentioned how nasty the tofu chicken nuggets were. I was inclined to say, I don't think so, I think they'd be delicious about now...but, yet again, I realized I didn't actually want them.
I think I'm just getting lonely. I'm not sure what to do with myself.
Anyways, about the rest of my day. I woke up around 3:30am because of the senna tea, went to the restroom, and felt better. Back to bed. I had to get up again at nine, which worked out since I have a habit of sleeping far too long when I don't have classes.
I did my SWF and hung out around the house for the next couple of hours. I think I've finally gotten almost all of the old food out of my system. It's finally getting more liquidy than anything else. We'll see tomorrow, though.
I did a bit of studying at the library and then went over to the gym and worked out again today (but this time I remembered to stock up on my lemonade for energy). Here are my workout stats:
Weights for 25 minutes (light to moderate)
Elliptical w/o arms
1. 33min 3.44miles 425cals
Stationary Bike
2. 20min 7.21miles 144cals
Stretched for 5 minutes after
I don't usually use weights when I work out, but I am concerned about losing muscle mass. I don't care what Burroughs says about that, there is a lot of research out there now that says if you don't give your body all the nutrition and calories it needs (even if you're getting 1500 calories a day, for example), your body will first use muscle instead of fat to get it. So, I'm trying to make sure my body has a reason to hold onto all that muscle...because, after all, muscle burns more calories than fat and without it I'll be more likely to gain (more) weight after I get off the MC.
I was tired after working out, but the lemonade helped. I practiced piano and headed home, having another two glasses of lemonade. That brings me up to 7 1/2 glasses today, and probably 4 glasses of water so far.
Weight: 156 (down 3lbs)
