The Choice
Love, wisdom, and compassion OR comfort, greed, and profit
Date: 4/11/2007 10:29:52 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 11465 times Existing in a time that bends to one’s perceptions, individual men choose which path s/he is walking within one’s life.
Does one value and strive to practice love, wisdom, and compassion in one’s life (in thought, word, and deed)?
OR
Are one’s life’s motivating forces one’s own comfort, an abundance of material possessions, and the characteristic of acquiring one’s abundance by negating or minimalizing the existence of others?
To what extent do our lives fall into one path or the other?
One may feel as tho one has an eternity to deal with these choices. Yet within that eternity are “times” when time and space undergo changes which affect all that exists within the material realm. Ignorance of this fact does not alter its effect on us, either collectively or individually. In higher worlds this time might pass almost unnoticed, but in lower worlds (and I use the words higher and lower figuratively) it becomes a time of great and sometimes violent change.
This time is perceived in traditional amerIndian philosophy as a “cleansing” time. Western Judeo-Christian philosophies tend to think of it as a Judgment. Physics aside, this time has elements of both. Indeed, perhaps all philosophical paradigms stem from this time of change.
I prefer the “cleansing” metaphor. For this is what the earth, the solar system, and at times, all universes are going through. The energy and matter from which we spring are cleaning house and all that the metaphor “cleaning house” entails. The earth, our solar system, the universe is clearing clogged energy pathways, returning everything to its proper place, and reestablishing patterns which are able to flow and balance
The material world first feels this change as a wave of energy permeating everything. If one flows with the energy, becomes one with it … the transition can be a smooth one. If one perceives only the material manifestation of this energy as it purges the earth of all that blocks the earth’s progress and evolution, then one is likely to have a much different experience.
So one must think – is one’s life a drag on pathways of energy that exist in our own lives, the lives of others, the planet we live on? Is our life a contributing factor? What do we bring to our world? Do we brighten the lives of others? Do we sow seeds of gloom and doom? Do we hinder others by our lack of compassion? Do we seek to find wise solutions to difficult issues facing our society, our culture, our planet today?
Which path are you trodding today? Which path shall you be on when the great cleansing sweeps through you?
The message was given in 2001 to us by the Hopi Elders, guardians of Prophecy Rock. It is a message of happiness and hope.
"TO MY FELLOW SWIMMERS:
There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. We must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personal, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
WE ARE THE ONES WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR"
