Day 2 almost done....
Made it through Day 2, YAY!
Date: 7/10/2006 1:05:44 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2318 times Well, Day 2 is almost done for me now, and now I will be heading towards Day 3. Nothing much happened today, I found it sooo much easier then yesterday, I actually wasn't even hungry today at all & aside from a few cravings, it wasn't bad at all. I am still craving carrots for some reason though. I don't know why that is, I don't remember the last time I sat down & actually ate carrots. lol. I am always craving garlic so that doesnt' surprise me that I have been wanting some of that. I am proud of myself for making it through the weekend without all my nasties that I usually have. Usually I will have a lot of wine, and some melted swiss cheese fondue with loads of bread & some other snacky foods such as cheeses & luncheon meats or seafood items such as scallops & bacon, smoked oysters etc. Ugggg, you know, it all tastes great & fabulous & all, but I hate to think of it all gooping along clogging up my body - I bet there is some sort of traffic jam going on in there! (that's why I am here!) So, my cravings today weren't so much for the bad stuff, it was more for a plate of carrots or a salad or a plain potatoe, something like that. I slept very well last night, slept about 11 hrs (whats with all this sleeping?) Usually I do sleep in on weekends, but I am usually hungover LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if my body is shocked with all this lemonade, water & herbal tea I have been putting in it. In 2 days I have drank over 9.5 Litres, omg - is that ok?? Don't know why I would say is that ok when normally I can drink 5 Litres of wine within 3 days & well a pot of coffee each day & some sodas & barely any water at all - maybe a glass or so a day on the weekends? uggg.. My body is probably so happy about all this good stuff it doesn't know what to do! My neighbour below must be wondering why the toilet is flushing so much! LOL. Other than all that, I am feeling great, no aches or pains at all, nothing hurts at all. I am more clear & alert than usual & feeling better than I usually am. When I was getting ready to start this on Friday I was very concerned since I was completely exhausted. I was wondering how I could start a cleanse when I was exhuasted & feeling drained before it ever started. The only side effects I have right now is my tongue, ugggg, omg, I wish there was something I could do about that. It's all white & furry feeling & I am drinking more water to try to make it feel better. It feels like constant pasties in my mouth. bleh. My face isn't breaking out terribly (yet) I always have acne anyways, so it wouldn't surprise me if it does act all up. I have a mild warmness to me & my cheeks are pink also. Not quite a fever, but I do think my body temps are flutuating some. Now from what I remember from the last time way back when I did this, that was normal & part of the detox process. I remember being super cold before. So far I am neither hot nor cold, just warm & pink. I don't feel ill either, so I think that is a good sign as well. All in All I wish I felt this great every Sunday! lol. So thats it for me for Day 2. I did the SWF today, it went ok but not as good as yesterday. I dont' seem to be having as many BM's today as I did then. I might have not measured the salt correctly though, who knows, but then again I haven't eaten anything either so that makes sense. I haven't decided whether or not I am going to do the SWF tomorrow or not. I have to go to work (uggg) so I guess I will see what time I wake up & how I feel. With my job I can't be in the bathroom all day so that is one of my huge concerns with doing this cleanse & working. Hopefully tomorrow goes well at work & then I am sure I will feel much better towards the rest of my week. I think that is my biggest anxiety right now about this cleanse, being at work, not being able to chew gum, and well I guess how I will smell & hopefully I won't have to make too many trips to the restroom. It should all be ok though. *crosses her fingers* I am enjoying this cleanse better than all the times I have done it before. I think this time, well I am really doing it for me - and I hope I can continue along with it with ease. The other times I was doing it, well, I remember having my friend doing it too & it was more like a game or competetion & I was doing it because she was etc. I remember it being way more frustrating & I wanted to cheat tons on it. This time, I just took it upon myself to come back here on my own & start reading up & well it only took me a few days to make the decision to hop on board & get right to it. I have been taking more time for me too. Today I got out & took the dog for a big long walk to reflect on things & enjoy the air & just be out. I have also been reading more again (which I haven't done in years). I think it helps a lot too that I don't have my kids here as well & I am not cooking. They come back on Friday night, so its going to be much harder for me to continue when they are here. I just spoke to them today yay! they have been gone just over a week - visiting their dad & omg I miss them so much! After talking to them tonight, well they did inspire me further to continue along. They dont' know I doing this, but I know they would approve. They prefer raw fruits & veggies & I am going to use this as a time to get us all eating much better again. Now, onwards to Day 3! (if I can ever get to sleep! going to try a couple cups of sleepytime extra tea)... tomorrow is my first day on the cleanse in the work environment...uggg, wish me luck! (I am going to be around all those yummy foods everyone is eating too so I know I will have to massively fight off cravings) It does help that I don't have any money at all & only have lemonade lmao - I have no choice but to keep trucking along. lmao.
