Day 12 - Not Hungry
Transitioning out of MC, some raw shopping tips
Date: 2/24/2006 8:55:19 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2246 times I am just not hungry. Am I going in a 'bad place'? Or is this ok?
Well, (gentleman, pardon me), my cycle started a week early. This has happened when I endure a longer fast. I know that is a good thing because the cycle is a 'cleansing/detox' action the body is taking. I was told by my Detox/Raw Food mentor, that this is also a good time to fast because the body is cleaning house.
I really am just not even hungry for the lemonade. But I made myself drink it. I also had some broth with extra cayenne because I was FREEZING! At work I have a mini space heater pointed at me directly! ;)
I wanted to start the wheatgrass and coconut water fast, but NO ONE HAD wheatgrass! I was so irritated. There are only a couple of places in the city where I can get cut wheatgrass. It won't be ready until Monday, boo hoo! Guess I will just move to the following: Green Kamaut (4 tbs. in 32 oz h2o, and one capful of oxycare)
Coconut water from Young Green Coconuts (as much as I want)
Rejuvelac.
Ok. There is my contract to myself for the next few days. Just got a few lemons to finish.
Just wanted to post a few raw foodie tips, just in case you did not know...
Nori.
If you need seaweed, hit the Korean Grocery Store. I pickup my seaweed(Nori) at those markets. No, it's not organic, I have had organic, but it is $5.50 for only 10 sheets, but you know sometimes you have to conceed. At the market I go to it is about $6 for a packet of 50. I like the cost better. Sometimes I even just plain out of the package when I feel like I want to have something 'chippy'. Just make sure you read the packages b/c some are roasted with added salt and even MSG. You can just get it plain dried seaweed. If you also like seaweed, they have all types. It is kind of fun! I love taking Nori and taking my salad and wrapping it in it or taking tomatoes, avocado, dulse and a little agave chopping that all up and use it like injeera to pick it up and eat it. (injeera, the Ethiopian bread to pick up the food to eat)
Young Green Coconuts.
Go to a Thai grocery store. Depending on the market rates, I can get a case (9) young green coconuts for $9 and have paid as much as $14. Yum! *When I am fasting, I actually scoop out the coconut meat and stick it in the freezer and use it to make desserts, ice cream and or 'noodles'
