Well, I've been keeping up with my healthy eating. My appetite has definitely shrunk and I don't mind feeling a little hunger. I used to scrounge around after school in the teacher workroom or in my classroom for chocolate, popcorn, Diet Cokes, anything to ward off the hunger from a full day of teaching. Now it doesn't bother me if I feel a little hunger. I just drink more water and know I'll have a good meal waiting for me at home. The fast really helped me to accept the hunger feeling as normal and realize I won't die if I don't eat right away.

I had gained about 3 pounds back after the fast, but with keeping up my good eating habits (mostly veggies and fruits, and LOTS of water), I have now lost 2 of those pounds. So, I'm at a total now of -11 pounds. I'm very pleased with that and am still looking to see more weight come off as these new healthy eating patterns continue.

I am really enjoying the flavors in the vegetables and fruits. I've found that I enjoy some raw food recipes- I just picked up some items at Whole Foods. They are delicious and totally full of great things! I feel like I'm cheating by eating sour cream and chives dip, but it's 'mock' sour cream, made from pureed cashews and I don't know what else. But it's good! I am loving fresh, sweet oranges and blueberries... These foods are so rich tasting and I don't even want to eat any junk- burgers, pizza, even tortilla chips (this used to be my downfall). All the junk looks so...well, junky, and I don't want that in my body.

The fast really helped also with my water drinking! I used to work really hard to drink 64 oz. a day. Now I'm finishing off 64 oz. before 2:00pm and then I drink at least another 32 after that. I am just so thirsty all the time now. My friends were laughing because I seriously drank 6 glasses of water at dinner the other night- they asked the waitress just to bring me a pitcher! It was hilarious!!

Good luck to you in your cleansing. And especially in making those great life changes afterwards. I feel AWESOME! Clean, healthy and light. And I look better too, having lost those pounds.
