Rainy Saturday
fun at the Farmer's Market

I usually like the Farmer's Markets during peach season the best, and that's many months from now.
Now's the time to go around the yard and clean up what another winter has left behind, and figure out what's needed for the yard and for the garden.
I would love to have friends (or family) who would come over to help co-create a thriving yard and garden with me. People who don't have yards of their own, ideally.
But right now there's me, and I'm enough.
I need to dig and till some flower beds, and re-create the vegetable garden my daughter and ex husband tended lovingly for so many springs and summers.
After walking around my property and taking a look at everything, I went to the Farmer's Market and walked around. No rain while I was there.
Since I'm trying to move towards a 100% raw vegan diet, it was hard for me being around all the people carrying various delicious looking cooked foods all over the place and eating them with such relish.
The gardens aren't producing much yet locally, so it wasn't like there were loads of organic veggies and such to munch on there.
It was mostly just a time to get ideas about configurations of flowers and trees and vegetables in my yard, and look at colors, what to put where, what seeds to plant, etc.
Then I hurried over to the local food co-op to get some raw foods and try and stick to my new eating plan.
Total walking: 45 minutes. Mostly fast walking. A big rainstorm started just after I got to my office in the early afternoon. Good timing.
