Global Warming deniers - "put up or shut up"
Deniers are still effective - "put up or shut up"

I have posted may times on various sites about global warming, and allways get a "denial reply" from sombody or another that says that global warming is not real, with some factoid like "temperatures are no longer rising since 1990". Thats just plain wrong, but they win because it distracts the conversation away from solutions and back to the denials.
It goes on and on like this, even though we prove them wrong, and we show that they are paid off to produce fake science, there is no action whatsoever to even stabilise emssions, much less reduce them to where they have to be. The time has nearly past us by to do anything about it... which means they win.
So, since "they win", due to their bully tactics, I want to propose a little wager:
If they are so sure about something so utterly dangerous and as huge as global warming, they should be willing to put up something real to defend their claims. After all, they seem to be willing to risk all our lives and every life-form's well being, so I say unto them - "put up or shut up".
If the deniers agree to forfiet all their holdings should the idea that 'global warming from burning fossil fuels' turn out to be real, then we will agree to give them something big if they are right. This will ensure they also believe their words.
But what to offer them? The deniers might want control and ownership of the energy industry, but they allready have that.
We could offer them the government!! - take it, you will be the president and cabinet and congress and so on - all of it, including government coffers, IF YOU ARE RIGHT. But maybe they feel their lobby allready owns government.
So its a non-starter I guess. Still , the concept is good - some way to get rid of the deniers 'who know they are lying'. "Denial" is a stubbornly effective tactic and it is working - we can only save ourselves if they back off and let us get to the heart of the matter, so "put up or shut up".
