Trip to Monterey
San Jose, Monterey, and Carmel!
Date: 9/8/2005 5:43:49 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 2227 times Off on my way to Sadhana and then to Monterey- well, I do guess the airport will be wedged in-between there.
I am on my way to Monterey-that has a ring to it, do you know the way to Monterey? Actually, I am going to San Jose first to pickup my daughter and then we are both going to Monterey!
I hope that we will have some down time together, but the schedule may not allow it...and of course, she has her best friend from college, Jen, there also. We shall see...I haven't been to Carmel since I was married. Wonder if the Boars Head still exists? And of course, Clint Eastwood has a new wife and a child young enough to be his great grand child- But it is hard to hold anything against him; even we “grandmas” love him.
His little one goes to Waldorf Schools, and I'd love the synchronicity to meet him while I am up there...I wonder if he would consent to an ad campaign for the school- or a picture and a quote for our literature?
He's a nice guy, I met him in the Boar's Head -his restaurant/bar back in the 70's- he sauntered right in like he owned the place-(he did) and came up to a group of me and my friends. He actually asked one of my buddies out -I think he was single then-maybe not...she definitively was not-BUT MAN HE made her DAY! (Or LIFE!)
So my intention for the Carmel trip is to have contact with Clint and ask for some publicity for the school- How cool!
