Oxypowder Colon Cleanse, Days 5 and 6
Coming to the end of my 7-day cleanse
Date: 2/28/2005 7:33:47 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 5700 times Days 5 and 6 on the cleanse were almost identical. Each were preceded by an 8-capsule dose, which seems to bejust about right for me. In the mornings, I had one large bowel movement about 10 minutes after waking. About 90 minutes after that, I had a medium-sized bowel movement, then one smaller one about halfway through the day. I never had a movement after the early afternoon. The first elimination was always black and very foul. The second elimination was dark brown. The third was lgiht brown. I also noticed that every morning I woke up a little dehydrated. It was the weekend, so I wasn't able to hydrate the way that I normally do during the week, so this isn't terribly surprising, but it's interesting to note that oxypowder has this effect on the body.
Today is the last day of the 7-day program, so I'm debating on hwo to proceed at this point. I may continue at 8 capsules a day until the entire bottle is gone, or I may change to the maintenance dose and stay on that until I'm out of capsules. A third option is to drop off 'cold turkey' and do another 7-day cleanse in a week or so (I think I have enough capsules left for that). I'll decide sometime today. Despite the regular eliminations, I can't help thinking that I'm not really eliminating any more than the food I'm taking in. The idea behind taking oxypowder was twofold: get my sluggish bowels moving and eliminate mucoidal plaque. The effectiveness of the former will be shown over the next few weeks. But, as for the latter, I'm not entirely convinced that oxypowder is doing the job. But, on the other hand, my eliminations have been black or dark brown, which is abnormal. I guess I'll have to judge by the results over the next few weeks.
My skin this morning broke out again. No cysts or blood-filled pimples, but several small ones around my chin and one above my lip. It's probably related to the sugar I had last night...two chocolate chip cookies. What was I thinking? It's really the first refined sugar I've had in about six months, so I guess my body still does react to it violently.
