Biodynamic Farming Intro...

Nutrition and high quality Agriculture go hand in hand.
This swirling motion is part of the process to
activate a soil preparation that is sprayed
on the fields with a hand brush connecing Heaven and Earth
and all the kingdoms in between.
This swirl is being made by Steven Spangler
of the Exotica Rare Fruit Nursery
at a special event last Saturday at the
Tierrea Miguel Foundation Farm and CSA
in San Diego County.
CSA stands for community supported agriculture.
More than 250 families receive some of the finest
quality biodynamically grown foods that are delivered
to drop off points in Southern California,
mainly the counties of San Diego, Orange County,
LA, and Riverside.
Steve and about 30 others spent an hour
creating this Vortex of Life Force with a Soil preparation
called BD 500.
It is made by putting cow dung inside a female cow horn
that is buried in the ground on Michaelmass and then upearthed
around the Spring Equinox.
The substance is then potentized by this stirrring process
in both directions and they sprayed on the fields.

"Research at Washington State University (WSU) by Dr. Lynn Carpenter-Boggs and Dr. John Reaganold found that biodynamic compost preparations have a significant effect on compost and the composting process (7). Biodynamically treated composts had higher temperatures, matured faster, and had higher nitrates than control compost piles inoculated with field soil instead of the preparations. The WSU research is unique for two reasons: it was the first biodynamic compost research undertaken at a land-grant university, and it demonstrated that biodynamic preparations are not only effective, but effective in homeopathic quantities.
