Identifying with our Body
Identifying with our Body--
this is the week of Malchut.
Part of me wants to take care
of business and move outer
projects along. Another part
wants to go deep inside to pull
out new creation that feels ready
for new birth.

in my yearnings than an expanding bud,
which does indeed point to flower and fruit,
to summer and autumn, but is aware
of the warm sun and spring influence only.
I feel ripe for something, yet do nothing,
can’t discover what that thing is.
I feel fertile merely. It is a seed time with me.
I have lain fallow long enough.”
--Thoreau, from his Journal, age 33
There is a piece of inspired writing that is attempting
to come through me now.
On the Kabbalistic Journey of Awakening
using the Tree of Life, this is the week of
Malchut--or Kingdom.
Rabbi Ted Falcon says in his book,
Journey of Awakening, "We have focused on the flow of energies
on the Tree, the unfolding of Creation, and we now arrive at the
most conplex of manfestations--the world in which we live."
"..Malchut...receives from all the other Sefirot. Sefierot are
energy centers. They are related to different worlds of creation
from inner being to this outer world of DOING.
Malchut exists in the world of Assiyah...manifesting, making, acting.
Malchut receives "the flow form the entire Tree, so each Sefirah--
[energy center] receives from the flow from the entire Tree."
Each energy center is intended to be reflected in Malchut...
but all the wonders of the Universe and our Inner words can be hidden
here--enfolded in a tight bud.
This is especially true as we identify with BODY.
Rabbi Falcon writes, "in Malchut we can become lost even to ourselves.
When we identify with the particulars of Malchut," this Physical World,
"we forget the self beyond those identifications."
"We identify with power,
with positiion,
with person
with possession,
with fame,
and with money.
The list is endless.
Yet it is through this very process of identification
that we can better discover ourselves."
"...through this very process of identification...
we can better discover ourselves..."
Through getting stuck here, we breakdown
and can have breathroughs.
In honoring where we are, we can move "behind how
we are currently experiencing ourselves and our world.
"We can espand the potentials of our Malchut" experience.
____
I have been in a deep place of inner being since Sunday.
I have been consciously secluding myself,
consciously letting things go in the physical world
so I could attend to the creations that have been
wanting to be birthed through me.
Yesterday, I left this inner world of isolation
to go to accupuncture. Then I went to Whole Foods
for shopping.
I left all my inspirations in the lurch.
I was disconnected from the world around me
but I could see the energies in the forms of others.
I imagined most of them were relating to each other
in this world of Malchut, in this physical world.
Most of my relationships now are virtual...
over the internet, and at best over the phone.
I was experiencing the limited world of most people.
We make it o.k. to be in this world, and not deep into
the inner worlds.
We bounce off the physical world as if it is all there is.
We let the bud remain a bud.
We feel it is o.k. to not say hello.
We feel it is o.k. to not speak to each other
as we shop.
We have limited boundaries with each other.
I was actually amazed to have one woman Lydia
recognize me in Whole Foods. She introduced herself
and said she sees me at PCOM (Pacific college of Oriental
Medicine, the place i go for accuncture.)
I did better than usual in Whole Foods.
I did not stuff my feelings down with sweets.
And I have been feeling a deep hunger for some real
time connection with my closest friend.
Sometimes, I am stunned by how limited my physical world
has become. I seem to have so few relationships in this physical
world. Most of my relationships are with people in other places
and we communicate over the phone.
Then of course there is the world of conferences, where
I can become fully functional in all for worlds,
from inner to outer.
Such is the way of the artist.
in order to bring something in new,
we are called to withdraw from identifying from
the physical world.
Right now, I am hungry for contact with it
and at the same time wanted to give birth
to something deep within that wants to come
out to help others experience the unfoldment of
what is enfolded in the physical world.
