Day 5 Water Fast
Made it through the weekend! Temptations abound. Coffee with friends inside McDonald's! Shopped & meal planned at Superstore!

Energy levels fluctuating. My lower back pain sucks a lot of the energy I do have. If I'm moving, it's fine but sitting or laying down is uncomfortable. And of course, I can't keep moving all day. My back starts screaming at me after awhile. Not taking any pain killers. An enema and Epsom salt bath can completely alleviate the pain until I go back to activity. I also wonder if the fast is causing a healing crisis in my lower back. I've had injury to my back since I was 9 yrs old and it's been complicated with an ACL ligament tear at 17 years old. 3 knee surgeries over the years and my back and hips are out of alignment. Once I had this extraordinary chiropractor who helped me become pain free but he retired and I can't afford another one right now. Ive been ridiculously sedentary this past winter. I need to build up the muscles in my core and stretch., stretch, stretch. Really needs to be my priority today. The pain is taking a toll.
Good news. My skin is pink, super smooth and soft. The puffiness in my face is gone thanks to the fast. Although the Rosacea is still apparent to me it's reduced to where one wouldn't notice unless they knew what to look for. My Rosacea blemishes are almost all healed. No flaky, congested patches at all. A joy to put on make up now. Not just the fast helped this. I did two facials of Himalayan Salt, Manuka honey and a squeeze of lime. I got compliments when I went out this weekend. Felt great.
I've set myself up nicely for the week ahead. Glad the weekend is over!
