A Better Way - Giving
Give what you can instead of taking what you can get

A Better Way than trying to "get all you can" is to "do as much as you can" and still come out ahead.
If, for example, you own a store or sell illegal drugs, you will see everything around you get better - from finances to friendships - if you give customers as good a deal as you can rather than trying to get as much from them as you can. Of course, you have to come out ahead on each transaction so you can stay in business, but the idea is to change your attitude to a positive view instead of a negative one - "what could I DO FOR YOU" instead of "what can I GET FROM YOU".
If you have allways been a greedy a**ho**, you will be surprised at how much more business you start to do, and how much less people steal from you. If you make this change, you just might find that a complete stranger will come along and shovel the snow off the sidewalk out front of your store before you get there in the morning - it has happened!!
Nasty mean drug dealers get busted a lot more than nice drug dealers - just in case you happen to be one... not that I know any, but... [I am just trying to be funny with the drugs thing, trying to put a different perspective on things, lighten up eh?].
In personal relationships, I am shocked to hear some people talk in terms of "what they get out of their partner" - women AND men think like that. I don't even love my neighbor, but I brushed the snow off of her car for three winters before she caught me... and what a great sexua| experience THAT was!! [no, just kidding, but she did give me a nice hug].
Has it ever happened to you that getting caught doing some "random act of kindness" brings a tear to the eye of the recipient? People had been mean to them for so long - allways taking, pushing them out of the way, stealing from them, crushing their spirit - and then WHAM something nice, for free... and they just break down crying. ONE LITTLE ACT OF KINDNESS can restore another person's faith in humanity for a few years.
Just do it. Start today. People are getting meaner this winter, there is a lot of tension and anger out there... please, GIVE someone a break, do SOMETHING nice for somebody - this is the one time when it is okay to be greedy - when you get far more than you give from giving more than you have to.
