We are flooded with ghosts due to the increasing population turnover.

We are flooded with ghosts.
There are as many dead human beings as there are alive on the planet right now. This unique moment in human history is one that is crossed by all species at some point in time.
It also means there are more ghosts now than ever before. Just 100 years ago there were just 2 billion living humans [est], and about 5 billion dead ones. Then our population exploded and now we have 7 billion + living, and those 2 billion died, and they are, quite possibly, ALL ghosts now.
Oh, sure, not all dead people become ghosts you say. Let me remind you that never before in human history have we died so horribly as so many of those who died in the past 100 years - the two world wars and dozens of deadly wars since have caused so many people to be mutilated, tortured, and of course the greatest number of war casualties were "only wounded" but then suffered for years and then died - very unhappy spirits!!
So if you are dismissing those "filmy smokey images" out the corner of your eye as a visual abberation, consider they may be an apparition instead.
I've counted 16 different ones in my 400 sq. ft. apartment. Its crowded in here!!
There is the man with the hat, the big man, the hunched over man, the woman with the billowy dress, the thin woman, the young girl, the military guy, the three little kids, and the 6 other partial bodies that float around in here from time to time. None of them seem to have LEGS, I just see the head and torso, and below the waist it is more and more faded towards the floor. The head of the adult ones all seem to be about 5 to 6 feet off the floor... I suppose legs don't count for much when you are ethereal and can float around.
Oh, there goes one now - walking/floating right over the three kids who are sitting on the floor off to my right. I wonder if they are waiting for me to turn the TV on [my cable got cut off a year ago due to being behind on my bill].
Maybe they cannot see each other, and thats why they seem to run into, or over, each other so much of the time. I wonder if they are each in their own world, as unaware of each other and of me than I was of them before this year when...

when things changed. Something snapped in my head, I got Trigeminal Neuralgia ["atypical"] and stopped sleeping for a long time. Then I started hearing them, and then seeing them, and...
and...
and then one, maybe more than one, started crawling into bed with me when I laid down to sleep.
No, there was no sex, if you were going to ask. She is just lonely and wants to lay there. We do not pretend to touch or anything like that - she turns away from me.
At least they don't eat much - it would cost a fortune to feed so many mouths!! Thank goodness they live on or in the ether. Ethereal. My life seem ethereal anymore.
I could move away... Ouch!! They don't want me to. It started out as just the one war dude who was dragging himself around, and I heard him breathing - freaked me out at first - and then I tried to help him "cross over" and whaddaya know? - more came!! The word is out - I am a nice guy who helps ghosts cross over, but they rarely do. The military guy decided against it after all my efforts.
You see, we don't know stuff. Crossing over isn't that simple. I learned that once over there, spirits cannot come back and if you go before you are pure enough it causes problems "over there" and we will not be wanted there.
The thing is if you have done terrible things then you have to redeem yourself - as a ghost or before you die - before you will fit in over there. You better be pretty sure you are ready before you cross over. Thats what my ghosts taught me.... I don't know how they would know though.
Get this - because so many have crossed over too soon, with sins on their shoulders, the "other side" has become contaminated. Thats where good stuff comes from, its like a balance of good and evil, and the good side is contaminated, and getting worse. Those darn wars and torture and so on have caused there to be too much sin.
By the way, no mention of "god", or "heaven"... crossing over to what then? We are not sure, my ghosts and I just don't know. The Ether I guess. Maybe that is just a reflection of my staunch atheism, I don't know.
