Day 30
yahoo i made it to the end of my third 30 day fast!!!
Date: 2/3/2010 12:01:31 PM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 3292 times Yeah i am so glad i have made it. today my weight is at 139pd, but yesterday it was at 138 so i am taking the 138 and saying i lost 22pd in 30days!! i think the reason its up a little today is oxypowder. i feel like when i take it at night it holds a lot of fluid in my body - i can feel it. then when the bm's come it realeases it. so my guess is tomorrow my weight will be down again. but needless to say it has been very strange. i lost 16pd in the first two weeks and only 6 in the second half. however most of my size change came in the last half - even in the last week my jeans fit better. i still have a fair bit to go but i am going to work on it by a sensible diet and exercise.
so as far as my goals go for this fast i feel really good: they were:
1.weight loss- i wanted to be back in my jeans and below 140-both accomplished
2.skin- it feels amazing!
3.exercise - i wanted to be exercising 4 times a week and running twice - i am exercising 5 times and running three times a week
4.sleeping - amazing!!!! best nights sleep ever and wake feeling so rested
5.life style - i wanted to find something extra in my life, i am volunteering twice a month on a mobile outreach program for homeless people, so far i love it and can see this continuing. i also have booked two camping trips coming up and my calendar is full of things to do in the next few months. they include trying a new restaurant, going to the rodeo and a blues and international festival.
6.eating habits - i wanted to get these under control,wll a fast always makes me look at how much i consume that is so unneccessary, time will tell if i can maintain this one again but i am feeling really postive about it
7. stress- i am just so much more calmer not nervous or irrational, i guess you just have to be when you are not putting any toxic garbage in your body
8. alcohol - i still find weekends tricky but i am determine to consume less, 30 days off it and i feel like going a lot longer, i can absolutely feel the change for the good
9. smoking - again 30 days off and it feels great but then again i only smoked occasioanlly, i am still not 100% convinced on this one....mmmmm
i feel great about completing this fast and i know there will be more in the future. i am lookign forward to starting back on solid food tomorrow. i will begin with some soft fruits and slowly progress on from that. my aim is to consume mostly raw with some cooked food occasionally during the week and have what i like (within reason) on the weekends. i am going to keep a close eye on my weight and not let it get out of hand again. i keep thinking how good it would be if i could start a 30 day fast at this current weight rather than 20 pounds heavier! but then maybe i wouldnt be so inclined to do it if i dont have that much to lose???
anyway to anyone thinking about it go for it! make some goals or milestones as i like to say and see how it feels to acheive them. start with small ones but aim high...it works for me!
