Do you live in California and want to buy real estate in Long Beach? Is Long Beach an area where you think that you would like to raise your children? Do you know anything at all about Long Beach, California? These are all questions you should be asking yourself. So you will understand what I am talking about, here is a map of Long Beach, California:
If you go and look at all the neighborhoods on the map, you will get a pretty good ideal about Long Beach, but you will never really know the real truth. Looks are deceiving and even though, you may think you know Long Beach, you will not.

Long Beach is a mixed city with many different races and cultures. It has everything from a lot of Victorian homes in the downtown area to simple Spanish homes in the North. North Long Beach is fairly inexpensive, as it is located next to Lakewood. Lakewood is a very nice community to live in with parks and good schools and beautiful malls, but maybe it is out of your pocketbook.
North Long Beach has some very bad areas and the schools are not good. Long Beach High school has gang problems and if you have teen agers, it is best to go to Lakewood or go down further towards Cerritos.
Lakewood Village and South of Conant are in Long Beach and very nice areas to live in. They do cost more than Lakewood, but have very good schools and locations. The streets are covered in trees and it is a cozy neighborhood.
Signal Hills, Bixby and Wrigley are all good areas to live in and the price is higher here. Virgina Country Club homes are very expensive and regal and it is located next to Bixby. If you feel that money is no problem, check out this area.
Downtown Long Beach has many job opportunities and right on the water. Parts of Downtown Long Beach is completely beautiful and peaceful. Many places to take a stroll on and many places, that you should not be caught on at night. Downtown Long Beach has many older condos and it is great for someone wanting to live in the city. The prices are good there and they have many Victorian Homes with huge porches.
Long Beach Airport is also a close area and many seek to be close to the airport.
When you cross down to Belmont Heights, Belmont Shores, Alamitos Bay and Naples, you are in the land of the rich. Prices are double the price of downtown Long Beach, but like everywhere there are bargains.
Long Beach has much heritage and much value, if you can afford the right areas. North Long Beach is good for the first time home buyer who wants to buy with a small payment. They have a lot of quaint Mexican Restaurants there and the food is so cheap and so good. Oh, the memories of Long Beach. A nice place to visit and a great place to live.
