I am on day 7.
Day 1-2 - water
Day 3+ - juice
I have remained active throughout.
Running/spinning/yoga.
I would like to go LONG - maybe 20-30 days....
See how I feel..
No expectations.
I started a week ago....
I was very hungry yesterday.
I put my juice through a tiny mesh colander and found PULP!
I have one of the best juicers out there GREENSTAR
I juiced a shit load of produce. About 3 liters of juice, no water added. I have a long day today. I teach high school all day and then I teach 3 back to back classes of HOT yoga...
I juiced
2 heads of celery
4 apples
3 pears
1 beet and beet greens
3 leaves of swiss chard
1/2c - sunflower greens
1c alfalfa
9 carrots
THis morning I added some RAW bee pollen to a squeezed lemon.
I am quite concerned that I will pass out in Yoga class! lol!!
The temp is about 38-40 degrees.
I teach a 90 min and 2 60 min classes.
I left home today at 7am and will return at 10:30 pm..
Hope I have enough juice!!!
I have done a number of fasts in the past - mostly juice.
Xmas of 07, I went to florida and did a 10 day water fast. Just lied on the beach and read...
IT was my first water fast.
I have done many Master cleanses, Not many Salt water flushes...
A few juice fasts. all lasting 10-15 days.
One 38 day juice feast as well, till I went to visit my disfunctional family and came home and PIGGED out!
Yes, I am an emotional eater. A binge eater.
But ya would not know it since I work out like a mad woman!!
I have been a vegan for about 15 years.
More recently, I have been High raw the last 3.
Raw all day, then cooked dinner...usually a binge on grains!!
I spent THIS XMAS at the Ann Wigmore Insitiute in Puerto Rico. I wish I had gone there YEARS ago!!
I have been 100% raw since Dec 20, 2008.
I am contemplating adding cooked veggies and beans back in to my diet as I see no change in my overall energy or weight.
No idea how much I weigh now...it's been 7 days.
I started at about 140. I am 5'7".
I will weigh myself tonight.
FASTING however is not a weight loss solution. Not for me anyways...I have ALWAYS ggained back ALL my weight and at times MORE!
WE don't need to learn how NOT to eat, but how TO EAT. We do not learn how to eat fasting!!
I am doing this to lose weight, to continue curbing my addictions to grains and bread and to just stay as young and "CLEAN" on my inside and outside!
I am 40 right now. Very happy with the way look. I have worked out since the age of 18.
I have been VERY angry the past 3 days. Snapping, Yelling....having NO patience with my 8 year old and partner...
Emotional detox!!
I feel pretty good today, besides the FREEZING weather outside...WTH??
Spring in Toronto and -9???
We had a snow storm yesterday!!
