28 Day Medical Fast, Day 7
28 Day Medical Fast, Day 7
Date: 2/10/2009 4:36:46 PM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 1650 times I woke up with a detox headache this morning, and did an enema as soon as my wife left for work. I'm not having much luck cleaning myself out, and I know I have to have a lot of matter left in my colon. I haven't been that careful with my foods for more than a few months, so I expect there's plenty left that I haven't been able to purge.
I scheduled an appointment for colon hydrotherapy on Thursday of this week. I don't have any money so I'm bartering an couple hours of handyman services in lieu of payment. Knowing how to fix stuff really comes in handy sometimes.
I'm still on the edge of hunger almost all the time. It doesn't gnaw at you, it's just persistent and hasn't gone away(except for last night's potassium broth). Typically I would get up and grab myself a junk-food snack. Now I don't, I'll drink a glass of water, or juice up a small drink. I try not to juice too much, the juicer is a pain to clean. I have it down to an art, but it still takes several minutes, and if you multiply that by six or eight times a day, it adds up.
As for symptoms of detox, I'd have to say that the mild headaches and dry, chapped lips are the most common. My muscles seem sore sometimes, and I need naps. I go to bed early but can't sleep in. I sleep fairly well, but the dreams arent vivid like in the beginning. I hope my body is working too hard repairing itself to bother with extravagant dreams.
I don't have incredible energy or sharp mental clarity thus far. I keep an excel worksheet with all of my daily statistics and requirements, so I can keep up on what I've done or still need to do during the fast. Since I'm not working, the days drift by, so I hope the next month moves along just as quickly.
