28 Day Fast, Day 1
28 Day Fast, Day 1
Date: 2/4/2009 8:12:15 PM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 1740 times I slept pretty well last night. I ate a nice meal with my wife in the evening. I woke up early this morning a little anxious, nervous about how this will all shake out. I've never had a lot of mental fortitude when it comes to resisting the temptations of food. I'm not doing this for weight loss, I want to get better. In addition to the planned fast, I meditate for about an hour daily, I exercise a little, with a routine given to me by my naturopath, consisting of simple stretches and holding them. I check my pulse before and after ingesting foods to see if my body is reacting to any food in particular. She says this makes sense, I'm going along with her on this one.
My lymph nodes are extremely swollen, and I use hydrotherapy as often as I can, hot, cool, hot, cool, to draw the blood from the nodes to increase circulation. I have Sarcoidosis in my lungs, lymph nodes, perotid, sinuses, on my skin, etc.
My fatigue is considerable, the shortness of breath tolerable but irritating. The loss of concentration and significant memory loss drives me berserk. I have a hard time remembering what day it is sometimes. But I'm not depressed, I quit taking depression medication shortly after diagnosis of my disease. The result has been just the opposite, I feel better and have a more positive outlook on life than I did before diagnosis. Weird uh? Don't know why.
6:00 PM Just beginning the liver flush. Very similar to Dr. Hulda's flush. Haven't eaten or drank anything since 2:00.
Have a mild headache and slightly cranky. Will take another dose at 8:00 and again the big one at 10:00 right before bed. Not particularly hungry, just want to flush completely so I don't have to think about food too much.
