28 Day Medical fast, Day 3
28 Day fast, Day 3
Date: 2/6/2009 9:37:04 AM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 1727 times I guess my expectaions were way off on this one. Aren't the first few days of a fast supposed to be the hardest? Knock on wood. So far I feel great, but my wife says I still look tired. It's strange to feel the absence of digestive turmoil.
I'm only into my third day, but I feel different. Even though I know I'm going through a detox, I feel cleaner. My skin just feels goood. I use a dry brush every day to release the old layers, and give the new ones a chance to work. I feel lighter and want to move around, I'm reading more and seem to be concentrating better. I'm happy to meditate and commit to my exercises. I'll admit that a little positive mental attitude can go a long way toward improving your outlook on life.
My juice meals are quite simple and not really much to report. I have carrots, celery, cauli, brocc, apples, blueberries, spinach, beets, yams, cabbage, oranges, lemons, Romaine, etc. There's nothing exotic, because I can't afford mangos and pineapple and all the fancy out of season produce. I wash and peel before I juice to remove residual pesticides and waxes that preserve shelf life. I'd love to buy organic, but I'm about 110 miles round-trip to the nearest good organic produce section. Thats close, the Organic stores I really like are in Portland, Or., That's right around 300 miles round-trip. Talk about adding some extra "food miles" to your local produce.
How's it possibe I feel so good after so many months of feeling lethargic and blue? I welcome my ever present mini-detox headache. I know it's working, and I accept it gladly.
8:40 pm Had mild headache most of the day, attempted enema this morning without much luck-I guess eventually I'll figure it out. Very uncomfortable pressure, no way I could hold it.
