starting my journey alone

it's been 5 months since i did a 6 day master cleanse and i have a 2 week vacation so i'm at it again. i plan to do the master cleanse for 7 days, then juice for 7 days then whole foods for 7 days. it feels like i might be committing to a lot, but i'll see how it goes. after this first week, i'm going to start the arise and shine detox which i bought from a friend. it's only half the herbs but i feel it will still be of benefit.
i just spent a week really over indulging in food and drink. i am obese (5'7 and 206 lbs) and sick of it. i was pretty slender until about 5 years ago and spent a year and a half on a medication that causes weight gain. i lost interest in exercising and lost a lot of my spunk. i have stopped meditating and being mindful, drink alcohol every day and have had problems with drugs. while i don't consume the standard american diet, i do binge eat and have very unhealthy eating habits.
i need to feel a sense of control in my life. through my cleanse, i will purify my body of toxins, replenish my energy levels and kick start my weight loss. i will stop drinking and stay drug free. i will take time for myself and remember the person i am and shed this outer shell i have grown.
day 1 is almost over. it was a pretty easy day, but i'm really tired now and just want to sleep. i will try to stay awake until 10. the good thing about this site is i can lose a couple hours just reading others blogs. i would love feedback or comments as a way to feel connected to others experiencing what i am.
i will stand strong!
