War Criminals and Terrorists Allowed to Be Free
War Criminals and Terrorists are not being rounded up, despite knowing where they are hiding out.

We live in a strange and mystifying world of political intrigue; ugly loyalties allow war criminals to roam around - the CIA is letting them go!
We heard Pres. elect Obama say in his campaign speach, just once as far as I know, that if he was President, Osama bin Laden would be wrested from his cave and taken prisoner by American forces. That was in referance to the Tora Bora incident where the Bush-led American military had bin Laden cornered in a cave, but declined the opportunity to go grab him.
We won't likely hear Pres. Barack Obama speak of Tora Bora, or about "getting Osama" again. The Next Great President has likely been "clued in" allready, soon after that [un] famous campaign speach that was not referanced by the media at the time, or since.
That is one example, and I just learned of a second, and there are likely many more.
The Second one: I just watched the movie called "The Hunting Party", a 2007 thriller based on a true story about the war criminals of the Bosnian and Croatian wars [former Yugoslavia]. Reporters that went to the area after the war was over had seen that the main military men, labelled as war criminals, were not being taken prisoner despite the fact that the U.N. and the CIA knew where they were hiding out.
These same reporters - the main characters in the movie - actually went and found Radoslav Bogdanović — known as "The Fox" - and dumped him amidst the Muslims in one of the razed villages [where Muslims had been targetted and slaughtered by the 1000s]. The fear on the face of the war criminal was evident as he was being chased down by angry villagers!!
There are some other famous names... Radovan Karodjic, Slobodan Milosovic... only some of whom were eventually caught and tried, but not after lving almost openly for a few years in their old haunts. It seems that nobody was willing to lay a hand on them.
And so it is that the United Nations forces, or the CIA, or American military, are choosing NOT to capture these "baddest guys", men who think nothing of slaughtering 1000s upon 1000s of people just for their religious beliefs, or for living in what Milosovic says is "the wrong place", or in Osama bin Laden's case, for being suspected of having something to do with the attacks on the World Trade Centres on 9/11.
Maybe it is okay if a reporter catches them, but not someone allied with the American government ; perhaps it is because of some agreement with the Russians, or the Saudis, or some other important or powerfull group that does not want these horrific people taken prisoner ; perhaps a fear of backlash from supporters of these war criminals?
We won't know those reasons, but we can see that it is true that they are let go free. Heck, even the President Elect didn't seem to know that it was taboo to talk that way... but like I said earlier, we won't likely hear those words again from President Obama no matter how long bin Laden roams free.
