Pre-Day 3
A surprising energy boost! Yay!

Date: 5/8/2008 2:16:11 AM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2369 times I was quite hungry after getting home from work yesterday due to eating only half an apple in the afternoon, so I had to make a two-egg omelette, and have some cooked potato on the side. Then a heap of shopping, I bought fruit and veggies in small portions to juice with my friend to give her a taste of all the different stuff available, and to try how to mix them.
Had a teaspoonful of chocolate cake in the evening since I had a date with a dear friend I haven't seen in half a year, and yes that's no excuse, so no more about that!
Refused the temptation to have even a tomato or a piece of watermelon when I got home, since it was about half eight already.

Slept restlessly again, partly because of needing to use earplugs (the owners of the flat always watch the nightly Ice Hockey games until round 11pm) which cause me to feel isolated and distressed in my sleep.
Woke up stuffy due to the flu, but since having my 0,4 cup of water (a daily habit I adopted some two years ago) right after waking up I started to feel surprisingly tremendous. I had bought a small bit of fresh ginger, and chewed on a piece on the trip to see my friend yesterday evening. It temporarily easened the sore throat. This morning I barely felt the soreness, plus I felt much more energetic than in quite a few weeks now! Be it the ginger, or not eating late at night, or the flu letting go, or possibly the refreshing date which cheered me up so much - I felt much more peaceful, and walked with a spring in my step. Mind you, I could feel much much more robust still, but this is a long awaited turn for the better!
It's 9.30am now, and I've had a bit of porridge for brekky, the same veggie rice as yesterday, and two cups of chai tea (no milk, of course) with fresh lemon, ginger and a bit of honey. I've got some of that potato-onion soup for lunch again, and tonight I'll probably make soup out of carrots and some swede (you guys in Northern America would probably call it rutabaga. It's a very popular root vegetable here in Finland, just like us Aussies love our pumpkin in daily cooking!).
Oh, I'm glad I remembered! I've meant to mention this since yesterday - all of a sudden my tongue seems much less coated than before! I don't know whether to take it as a good sign, though, maybe I am not pushing enough toxins out? I have changed my toothpaste though, I use the Salt Toothpaste from Weleda now. Maybe that has something to do with the darker red tongue?
The start of today gives me hope, mentally I feel much better.
I realised I have recently cut out quite a few 'unnecessary' acquaintances, possibly subconscously attempting to de-clutter my activities, relations and affiliations into a direction more intentional than before.
Ok, enough with that crazy pseudo-psychological stuff (had to cut out quite a lot of what I just typed, since it got a bit too personal). On with the happy day at work! Trying to ignore people eating greasy meat pies (smells awesome), and whistling 'Smells Like Teen spirit' guitar riffs (does not sound good!).
