No Longer 100% Raw Vegan
A closing message - not
Date: 1/13/2008 7:45:42 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 4357 times This will be my concluding post for this blog. Sorry, it's just too hard to keep things straight on the net.
I'm still working all the time to eat a mostly raw and mostly vegan diet, but have come to the conclusion -- at least for now -- that I will probably never achieve 100% raw vegan, for a number of reasons. For one thing, I've never been much into RULES. Being "100% raw vegan" sounds (and is) a rule unto itself. Doesn't mean I don't think 100% raw vegan rocks -- because it does, but it's just not a standard I need to place myself against, especially since I'm a great experimenter when it comes to food.
The fact still remains that the closer to 100% raw vegan I become the healthier I get -- and the more pain-free. There is no denying that. Yet I may want to have a cracker tomorrow and something else the day after that, and I don't want to feel that I have somehow FAILED myself because of it.
I'm doing some good and exciting things and will talk about them, possibly in a new blog, when I get more of it together -- working on a new kind of raw meal plan you might say. One that tastes good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I'll probably make an e-book or something.
Meanwhile, you all take care and stay rawsome!!!
UPDATE JULY 2009: While I no longer have a goal of being 100% raw I am definitely back on the Raw Bandwagon and Going Mostly Raw in a big way. I guess when something is really WORTH it, it does not matter how long it takes. One must just keep on keeping on. I will say this: It feels MUCH easier for me now to eat mostly raw than it has in many, MANY years. Hurray...!!!!
