Stephen asked me if I had read the book by Paul Harris.
Stephen tells me it describes activities at the old Hidden Valley Health Ranch

Senate today passes its version of the Farm Bill
In a major milestone, the U.S. Senate today approved its version of the Farm Bill in a 79 to 14 vote. Included are funding and direction for key organic priorities, including a sense that organic research be funded at a level commensurate with its share of national agricultural production. Some of the other provisions allot funds for organic data collection and certification cost share; would bar the U.S. Department of Agriculture from charging a premium surcharge on organic crop insurance: and would add ... read more

Raw Milk Controversy
Raw Milk is being outlawed
in CA beginning January 1 unless
there is some action to avert this
unnatural disaster to healh.
Chef JM
and some other’s I know
have taken up the banner about raw milk.
I have not followed the controversy too closely.
JM records his comments here:
http://chefjem.stumbleupon.com/
Dr. Bernard Jensen was in favor of raw milk as
the ONLY milk worthy of human consumption.
He preferred raw fresh goats milk over cows milk.
He helped popularize the use of raw goat’s milk.
At the old Hidden Valley Health Ranch,
he had alpine goats. This was his favorite.
He would have Polinar, his main milker, collect the milk
at most of the months of the year, when the kids w ... read more
